The announcement was reported by Oman News Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new zone will be located in the Governorate of Muscat. It marks a step forward in Oman\u2019s efforts to strengthen its <a href=\"https:\/\/techxmedia.com\/en\/category\/emerging-technologies\/artificial-intelligence\/\">artificial intelligence<\/a> ecosystem and digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the decree, the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones will appoint an entity to manage, operate, and develop the zone. This process will take place in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, projects established within the zone will receive incentives, privileges, and exemptions. These benefits are aligned with Royal Decree No. (38\/2025) on the Law of Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decree also states that it will be published in the Official Gazette. It will come into force the day after publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the initiative is expected to attract investment and accelerate innovation.
