Data highlighted by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion shows that e-commerce activity has expanded at an exceptional pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, this growth reflects a rising reliance on digital platforms and cashless transactions across the country. Consumers are increasingly adopting online shopping solutions supported by improved digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to statistics from the Central Bank of Oman, the number of transactions increased from 67.5 million in 2024 to 168.8 million in 2025. This represents a rise of approximately 150 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the surge is being driven by wider availability of digital applications. It also reflects growing consumer trust in online purchasing and payment systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry noted that this trend signals stronger purchasing power in the market. It also highlights greater confidence in the speed and convenience of electronic payment methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the rise in electronic payments aligns with <a href=\"https:\/\/techxmedia.com\/en\/oman-launches-ai-special-zone-muscat-plan\/\">Oman\u2019s broader digital transformation agenda<\/a>. This agenda focuses on modernising commercial services and strengthening the digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also aims to improve efficiency in financial transactions across the national market. As a result, businesses and consumers are increasingly shifting toward integrated digital ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, Oman continues to witness rapid digital adoption across commerce and finance.
