Ericsson<\/a> has been ranked as the clear leader in Growth and Innovation for the sixth consecutive year in Frost & Sullivan\u2019s Frost Radar 5G Network Infrastructure 2026 report. The recognition reinforces Ericsson\u2019s position as a long-term partner in 5G evolution and highlights its role in shaping AI-driven, open, and sustainable networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the analysis places Ericsson<\/a> at the top among 20 leading companies assessed across more than 100 global industry participants. It confirms the company\u2019s leadership on both the Growth and Innovation axes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the report highlights Ericsson\u2019s comprehensive 5G network infrastructure portfolio. This spans radio access networks (RAN), transport, core, and edge networks. It includes traditional RAN, open and virtual RAN, AI-enabled RAN, and private networks. It also notes Ericsson\u2019s ability to scale innovation globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Frost & Sullivan points to Ericsson\u2019s progress in network APIs. These are seen as a key pathway for new innovation in mobile networks. The report also highlights the company\u2019s increasing use of AI to automate network operations and enhance performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Ericsson\u2019s sustained leadership is attributed to its strong investment in research and development. Nearly 21 percent of revenue was invested in R&D in 2025. This supports continuous innovation across its portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Frost & Sullivan notes Ericsson\u2019s role as a founding member of the AI RAN Alliance. The company is also focused on improving energy efficiency across its systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, Ericsson has already achieved its target to reduce energy consumption at new typical radio base station sites by 40 percent compared to a 2021 baseline. This goal has now been extended to 50 percent by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These improvements are driven by RAN modernization, energy-efficient hardware, and AI-enabled software features. They also include optimisation of Ericsson\u2019s dual-mode 5G Core and cloud-native infrastructure solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Troy Morley, Industry Principal Analyst at Frost & Sullivan Information, Communications and Technologies, stated that Ericsson stands out for combining innovation leadership with strong growth execution. He highlighted the company\u2019s ability to scale innovation across mobile technology generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Frost & Sullivan explained that the Frost Radar model evaluates companies based on growth and innovation performance. It assesses revenue growth, product portfolio strength, R&D strategy, and scalability of innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
