Data resilience took center stage at Veeam Software during VeeamON 2026<\/a> in New York City, where the company unveiled an exclusive preview of Veeam Data Platform v13.1 and introduced a new DataAI Resilience Module within the Veeam DataAI Command Platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest announcements are designed to help enterprises strengthen data resilience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while supporting the growing adoption of agentic AI. Veeam said the new capabilities will help organizations protect, govern, and recover data more effectively while reducing operational complexity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veeam Data Platform v13.1 introduces more than 70 new features and capabilities focused on modernization, security, portability, and faster recovery. The company said the release expands workload portability across unlimited hypervisors, including support for OpenShift Virtualization, allowing enterprises to modernize infrastructure without complex re-platforming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the update includes Active Directory Forest Recovery to improve identity resilience. It also introduces cybersecurity enhancements, including post-quantum cryptography and stronger security ecosystem integrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Veeam<\/a> expanded threat detection capabilities with scanning support for AWS, Azure, NAS, and Microsoft 365 environments. The company also highlighted faster Active Directory forest recovery and support for Hybrid FIPS and post-quantum encryption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The release also focuses on improving data resilience economics. New capabilities include NAS archive support, lower-cost long-term retention, and reduced storage rates aimed at helping enterprises manage growing data volumes more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Veeam introduced the DataAI Resilience Module as part of its broader vision for unified resilience operations. The module is integrated into the Veeam DataAI Command Platform and is intended to provide centralized visibility and management across workloads and environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, the platform offers a single pane of glass for monitoring data resilience posture, operational health, and recovery readiness. It also includes Global Search and Inventory capabilities that allow organizations to quickly determine whether workloads are protected and initiate actions ranging from file recovery to full-site recovery or clean room recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the platform aims to reduce operational friction through simplified Day 2 management workflows and more consistent configurations. Built-in AI agents support natural language commands for real-time log troubleshooting, automated ticket management, and predictive capacity planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
