ASUS ExpertBook Ultra<\/a> was tested in an extreme high-altitude experiment above Mount Everest to evaluate durability and real-world reliability. The device remained fully operational throughout ascent, descent, and landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this test, the ASUS<\/a> ExpertBook Ultra reached an altitude of 8856 meters, surpassing Mount Everest\u2019s summit of 8849 meters. At this height, temperatures dropped to -42.5\u00b0C and air pressure was significantly reduced compared to ground level. Additionally, the device faced combined environmental stress including temperature fluctuation, low air density, and mechanical impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conduct the experiment, the laptop was mounted in a specially designed 3D-printed rig and carried by a high-altitude balloon into the upper atmosphere. After reaching peak altitude, it descended under controlled conditions while being exposed to continuously changing environmental factors. It eventually landed on wet ground at approximately seven meters per second and continued to function normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Tolga \u00d6zdil, Regional Commercial Director, Middle East, Turkey & Africa (META) at ASUS, durability is built into ASUS ExpertBook Ultra devices from the earliest design stages.
