Sheikha Latifa hosts Prototypes for Humanity Majlis as Dubai continues to strengthen its innovation ecosystem through the Dubai Future Solutions \u2013 Prototypes for Humanity<\/a> programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, hosted a majlis at Dubai Future Foundation. The gathering brought together academic ventures, global innovators, and industry leaders from key public and private sector entities participating in the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the event highlighted the continued expansion of the Dubai Future Solutions \u2013 Prototypes for Humanity initiative. It also reflected progress in advancing several projects into active pilot and commercialisation stages in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation<\/a>. It is held under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative supports academic founders through funding, business expertise, dedicated team support, and structured industry collaboration. In addition, it aims to translate scientific research into practical and industry-aligned solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is supported by strategic partners, including the Dubai Future Foundation and the Hussain Sajwani \u2013 DAMAC Foundation. The programme also includes founding partner Dubai International Financial Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheikha Latifa stated that the programme reflects Dubai\u2019s belief that innovation becomes meaningful when it improves lives and addresses global challenges. She added that Dubai continues to build an environment where researchers, innovators, and institutions can work together to transform ideas into real-world impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, she highlighted that under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Dubai is strengthening its position as a global hub for innovation, research, and future industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majlis was attended by senior leaders from government and industry. These included His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer of the Roads and Transport Authority, and His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also present were His Excellency Marwan bin Ghalita, His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, His Excellency Arif Amiri, and His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Private sector leaders also attended, including Mathew Tribe, SVP & Global Market Lead, Buildings and Places at AtkinsR\u00e9alis, and Dr. Shamal Mohammed, CEO of Silal\u2019s Innovation Oasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, participants reviewed ongoing collaborations, explored future opportunities, and discussed outcomes emerging from the programme\u2019s innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheikha Latifa also met with a cohort of prospective ventures and global innovators visiting Dubai from leading international institutions, including Harvard University, Royal College of Art, Technische Universit\u00e4t Darmstadt, and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussions focused on emerging technologies, long-term ambitions, and opportunities for real-world implementation. It also reinforced Dubai\u2019s role as a global destination for innovation, talent, and research translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Sheikha Latifa witnessed the signing of strategic memoranda of understanding with AtkinsR\u00e9alis focused on sustainable infrastructure and the future of the built environment. Another MoU was signed with Silal, focusing on food systems and agricultural technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also highlighted collaboration with the Dubai Research, Development and Innovation Programme. This aims to support research advancement and commercialisation pathways for emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the initiative underscores a sector-focused approach that aligns with national and global priorities for future resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majlis reaffirmed the role of Dubai Future Solutions \u2013 Prototypes for Humanity as a global platform for academic innovation. Projects such as Oxara, Virufy, and P-Vita demonstrate its impact across sustainable construction, AI-powered diagnostics, and food security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
