Infoblox<\/a> has announced Infoblox IQ, a new agentic operations layer designed to help enterprises improve network and security operations through AI-driven automation and intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infoblox IQ continuously analyzes DNS queries, DHCP leases, IP address assignments, device activity, and security events flowing through the Infoblox platform. As a result, organizations can identify issues faster, automate investigations, and take action with greater confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the launch, Infoblox also introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for its networking<\/a> and security solutions. The server allows third-party AI assistants, agents, and applications to access Infoblox network, security, and asset intelligence through a standardized interface. Consequently, organizations can integrate AI systems without building and maintaining custom connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infoblox IQ includes an agentic AI assistant and agentic AI actions. Through a natural language interface, teams can understand network and security conditions, investigate issues, receive recommendations, and execute configuration changes without switching between multiple consoles or manually searching operational data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform is built on more than 25 years of experience managing mission-critical DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) environments. Furthermore, it incorporates operational knowledge gained from thousands of customer deployments, helping teams diagnose issues, prioritize actions, and resolve problems more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, one customer deployment using Infoblox IQ reduced more than 504,000 operational events to just 24 prioritized actions through agentic triage. Investigations that previously required between 45 and 90 minutes of manual analysis were surfaced immediately with the context needed for action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For security teams, the platform automatically correlates threats, assets, users, devices, and network activity to create a clear investigation path. This helps reduce alert fatigue and speeds up response times. Meanwhile, network teams can proactively identify performance, configuration, and capacity issues before they affect users. The platform also provides guided remediation recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond operational improvements, Infoblox IQ is designed to support organizations pursuing agentic operations and autonomous IT operations. The company said effective AI systems require accurate and continuously updated infrastructure data to understand relationships between devices, users, applications, IP addresses, and network services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the authoritative source for DDI and network asset intelligence, Infoblox provides trusted context to AI models and operational agents. This, in turn, helps improve decision-making, reduce false assumptions, and enable more reliable automation while maintaining governance and operational control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company also outlined two key use cases for the platform. Infoblox IQ for Threat Defense investigates DNS security alerts, gathers evidence, analyzes activity, identifies root causes, and presents analysts with confirmed threats, affected users and devices, and recommended remediation actions. The solution distills thousands of alerts into prioritized findings that analysts can review, query through natural language, and act on within minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Infoblox IQ for DDI proactively identifies network configuration and operational issues across Infoblox Universal DDI and Infoblox NIOS. It automatically collects and analyzes relevant data, delivers root cause analysis within seconds, and provides guided remediation actions supported by a complete audit trail. According to the company, the solution performs up to 90 percent of the work typically required after a network operations ticket is opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that as organizations move from AI pilots to real-world agentic operations, infrastructure data must remain trusted and up to date. Gupta noted that the pace of change across DNS, DHCP, and IPAM now exceeds what teams can manage manually, while generic AI tools often lack the operational visibility needed for reliable autonomous action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott Harrell, President and CEO of Infoblox, said DDI has served as the foundation of enterprise networks for decades. He stated that as AI becomes the next operating layer for enterprises, that foundation is becoming increasingly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harrell added that the platform transforms infrastructure data from a system of record into a system of action, helping organizations move faster, respond more effectively, and unlock the potential of AI-driven operations. Infoblox said Infoblox IQ for Threat Defense will be generally available by the end of the month. Meanwhile, Infoblox IQ for DDI, the Infoblox IQ assistant, and Infoblox MCP Server integration are currently available to early access customers and are expected to reach general availability in fall 2026.
