The UAE<\/a> Government has launched a major initiative to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI across federal entities, following directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to transform 50 percent of government sectors, services and operations to Agentic AI models within the next two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the initiative, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs organized a specialized workshop in Dubai, bringing together more than 300 participants from 50 federal entities. The workshop aimed to launch implementation tracks for the new government system project and support the integration of Agentic AI into government services, operations and institutional support functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop also focused on mapping services, projects and operations across federal entities in preparation for adopting Agentic AI models. In addition, implementation progress will be monitored over a 90-day period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Agentic AI Project Executive Committee, said the workshop reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to accelerate the deployment of Agentic AI applications across government operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Gergawi said the initiative aims to enhance performance, improve service quality and support the UAE’s vision of building a more agile and future-ready government. He added that the country continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in government innovation by developing flexible work models powered by advanced AI technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Al Gergawi, artificial intelligence represents a new stage in the evolution of government work. He noted that it can support employees, accelerate task completion, increase productivity and strengthen data-driven decision-making, ultimately improving government efficiency and outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further emphasized that the workshop seeks to equip government talent with the skills needed to leverage Agentic AI applications and deploy modern tools in their work environments, in line with the UAE’s ambition to lead globally in innovative government models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary General of the Cabinet, and Head of the Operations and Institutional Support Track of the Agentic AI Project, highlighted efforts to transform government operations through the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Hammadi said work began with mapping operations across federal ministries and entities. The process included identifying priority operations suitable for conversion to AI-driven models and assessing existing and in-development applications across government organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that these efforts resulted in a comprehensive implementation plan for the Agentic AI project at the federal government level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the workshop, more than 140 officials and specialists participated in sessions focused on 10 key operational areas. These included human resources, procurement and contracts, financial and administrative affairs, legislative affairs, internal audit, digital transformation and technical support, institutional communication and media, facilities management and maintenance, as well as shared operational processes across ministries and federal entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohamed Rashid bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Knowledge Exchange and Head of the Services Track, presented the government work model for the next phase of implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the framework will enable government entities to identify and select priority services and operations for AI deployment while maximizing impact on individuals and businesses. The initiative also aims to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of government services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bin Taliah noted that government teams possess the expertise, capabilities and innovative mindset required to advance AI implementation. He added that the UAE has consistently demonstrated its ability to transform ambitious goals into measurable achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants also discussed criteria for selecting priority operations for transformation. These included operational volume and frequency, annual transaction numbers, beneficiary counts and the nature of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, readiness assessments considered factors such as process clarity and documentation, availability of updated data, levels of automation and expected outcomes. The evaluation also examined potential impacts on service quality, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the workshop framework, each government entity is required to select a specific service or operation for implementation. Projects will be launched within a 90-day timeline consisting of three phases: exploration, design and implementation planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exploration phase focuses on selecting the appropriate service or operation. The design phase involves developing the target journey, while the implementation planning phase defines application requirements and execution plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the three-month period, government teams will regularly monitor progress, provide support and ensure targets are achieved. The selected services and operations are expected to be launched within the specified timeframe, marking another step forward in the UAE Government’s broader Agentic AI transformation<\/a> strategy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
