In a world shaped by social media speed and constantly evolving visual trends, she focuses on crafting images that feel lived-in rather than staged, blending authenticity with a strong sense of narrative.

Shaped by creative experiences across India and the United States, her perspective brings a global sensitivity to brand storytelling, where people, products, and experiences are translated into visual stories that resonate beyond the screen. In this conversation with TECHx Media, she shares how technology, changing audience behavior, and digital platforms are redefining photography, while keeping human connection at the heart of her work.

You’ve photographed everything from products and brands to people and experiences. In today’s digital-first world, how has social media changed the way you think about capturing a story through your lens?

Social media has completely changed the pace of storytelling and experiences. People consume content faster than ever, so imagery needs to capture attention instantly while still having depth in a matter of a couple of seconds. For me, that means creating photographs that work both as a standalone image and as part of a larger narrative. I think audiences today want to feel like they’re experiencing a moment rather than looking at a perfectly polished advertisement (aomething REAL). Whether I’m photographing a fashion campaign, a luxury hotel, or an event, I’m always thinking about how the images will live across platforms while still feeling timeless. Trends come and go, but genuine emotion and strong storytelling always resonate.

Technology has made it easier than ever for anyone to take photos with a smartphone. What do you think still sets a professional photographer apart in an age where everyone has a camera in their pocket?

The camera has never been the differentiator, the vision behind it is. A professional photographer brings creative direction, an understanding of light, composition, storytelling, and the ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the lens. Anyone can take a photo, but not everyone can create an image that evokes emotion, strengthens a brand identity, or tells a compelling story. My clients aren’t hiring me because I own a camera. They’re hiring me because I know how to translate a feeling, a brand, or a moment into imagery that connects with people.

Many brands today are constantly creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms. How has this shift influenced the way you plan and execute a photoshoot?

The biggest shift has been creating with versatility in mind. A photoshoot today isn’t just about one hero image. Brands need content for multiple platforms, formats, and audiences. When I plan a shoot, I’m thinking about vertical content, behind-the-scenes moments, campaign imagery, social assets, and storytelling opportunities all at once. That said, I never want content creation to feel transactional. The goal is still to create beautiful imagery. I simply approach shoots with a broader perspective so clients leave with a library of assets that can support their brand across different channels.

You often talk about authenticity and human connection in your work. With filters, editing tools, and AI becoming increasingly common, how do you maintain a sense of authenticity in your photography?

For me, authenticity comes from the experience itself. I focus on creating environments where people feel comfortable enough to be themselves. The most powerful photographs usually happen in the moments between poses, the genuine laugh, the unexpected interaction, the subtle expression. Technology is a tool, and I embrace it when it enhances the creative process. But I never want editing, AI, or trends to replace the human element. People connect with emotion, not perfection. My goal is always to preserve that emotional truth within an image.

As someone who works closely with entrepreneurs, creatives, and businesses, what are some of the biggest visual storytelling mistakes you see brands making online, and how can photography help them stand out?

One of the biggest mistakes is focusing too much on selling and not enough on storytelling. Many brands post content without a clear visual identity or emotional connection. They show products but forget to show the lifestyle, people, values, and experiences behind those products. The brands that stand out create a world people want to be part of. Strong photography helps establish that world. It builds trust, creates consistency, and allows audiences to connect with a brand on a deeper level than simply making a purchase.

From growing up in India to building your career in the US, you’ve experienced different cultures and creative communities. How have technology and digital platforms helped you connect with clients, showcase your work, and grow your photography business?

Technology has made the creative industry incredibly global. Growing up in India and building my career in the United States has given me a unique perspective on culture, storytelling, and human connection. Digital platforms have allowed me to collaborate with brands, talent, and creatives across different countries in ways that would have been unimaginable a decade ago. Many of my opportunities have come through Instagram, referrals, and online networking. These platforms have allowed me to showcase my work, connect with people I admire, and build relationships that have led to meaningful collaborations in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, and beyond. At the end of the day, technology helps open doors, but relationships are what keep them open.

If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring photographers trying to build their presence in today’s digital world, what would it be?

Focus less on going viral and more on developing your perspective. There are millions of photographers, but nobody sees the world exactly the way you do. Trends will change, platforms will evolve, and algorithms will come and go. What lasts is a strong point of view and the ability to tell stories that feel authentic to you. Invest in your craft, build genuine relationships, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. The opportunities that have shaped my career have often come from simply reaching out, starting conversations, and consistently showing up.

[9618
1260,10543
9732
post-106044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-editors-pick","tag-photography","tag-tech-in-photography","contributor-news-desk
["GET
