In this Infoblox CISO appointment, Smith will lead the company\u2019s global security strategy. He will focus on strengthening cyber resilience, advancing risk management, and supporting secure business growth. Moreover, the company said the appointment comes at a time when organizations are facing an increasingly complex threat landscape shaped by AI-driven attacks, expanding digital infrastructure, and rising adoption of autonomous technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith brings nearly 30 years of security leadership experience across cloud security, enterprise security, and risk management. Previously, he worked at Amazon as Head of Security for Devices and Services. There, he led efforts to secure Amazon\u2019s consumer device ecosystem. In addition, he held the role of Vice President of Security at Salesforce, where he managed security strategy, risk remediation, and enterprise-wide security integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in his career, Smith held several senior roles within AWS Security. He was also one of the founding members of the Office of the CISO and Security Assurance organizations, contributing to foundational security frameworks at AWS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the appointment, Scott Harrell, President and CEO of Infoblox<\/a>, said that Smith is a proven security leader with extensive experience building and scaling security programs at leading global technology companies. He added that as AI transforms business operations, security and resilience are now central to innovation.
