The deployment marks another milestone in the partnership between the two companies and aims to strengthen high-capacity 5G connectivity across the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Full Duplex solution allows a single connection to send and receive data simultaneously on the same frequency. As a result, it delivers up to 50 Gbps of transmission capacity while providing highly reliable, protected connectivity for critical social and livelihood infrastructure. Additionally, the solution improves spectrum efficiency by up to 200%, supporting large-bandwidth 5G transport in suburban and emerging coverage areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudi Arabia has been a global leader in 5G development since launching nationwide 5G services in 2019. Today, a significant portion of the country’s 5G network depends on microwave links, which carry data between mobile towers and the wider network. However, conventional microwave transmission requires two separate frequency channels for sending and receiving data. This limits capacity expansion where spectrum availability is constrained and creates challenges in delivering reliable, high-capacity connectivity to critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To address these challenges, stc group and Huawei<\/a> jointly developed the Full Duplex solution. By operating on a single frequency channel, the technology reduces spectrum consumption, simplifies network architecture, and maintains ultra-high transmission capacity with built-in protection.
