The partnership supports Kuwait&#8217;s digital transformation priorities and the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement was signed during the official launch of the Kuwait 5G-Advanced &amp; AI Era Strategic Whitepaper, which outlines the country&#8217;s roadmap for the next phase of digital development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Whitepaper aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035 and identifies key priorities, including the evolution of 5G-Advanced, improved indoor connectivity, network intelligence, industry digitalization, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In line with the Whitepaper&#8217;s strategic direction, <a href=\"https:\/\/techxmedia.com\/en\/?s=Huawei\">Huawei<\/a> Kuwait and CITRA established a collaborative framework to deepen ICT cooperation. The agreement focuses on joint initiatives, national capability building, and the exchange of expertise in emerging technologies. It is based on mutual benefit and aligns with the capabilities and resources of both organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MoU was signed by Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), and Alex Dai, Vice President of Huawei Gulf Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Al-Zamel said the agreement will explore cooperation in several strategic areas. These include the development of telecommunications infrastructure, enhancement of mobile and broadband networks, and the advancement of a competitive and sustainable ICT ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Dai said both organizations will also work together to encourage technological innovation and support the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. He added that the partnership will promote local digital capabilities, talent development, and digital content creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the agreement includes joint activities such as expert exchanges, technical discussions, and participation in industry events, seminars, and relevant technology platforms. It also emphasizes coordination within international frameworks, including collaboration under the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huawei Kuwait has been operating in the country since 2005 through local partnerships. In 2015, the company expanded its presence by becoming a wholly owned corporate entity.
