Integrated security is becoming increasingly important across the Middle East<\/a> as digital transformation and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence<\/a> reshape how organisations protect people, infrastructure and operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyber, physical, operational, human and third-party risks are now increasingly interconnected. Against this backdrop, Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026<\/a> will examine how organisations can respond through stronger governance, responsible AI and greater oversight of insider threats at the Future Security Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CPD-certified Summit will take place during the first two days of Intersec Saudi Arabia, from 16 to 18 November 2026, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC). It will bring together policymakers, government representatives, infrastructure operators and security professionals from Saudi Arabia and the wider region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TAQA executive to address insider threats<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summit is expected to feature more than 110 expert speakers. These include Hesham ElGindy, Group Vice President, Governance, Risk & Compliance at TAQA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ElGindy will draw on his experience across the energy and industrial services sectors. He will lead a fireside chat titled \u201cTrust, Access, and Risk: Rethinking Insider Threats Today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session will explore how organisations can manage insider risk through trust, behaviour and access. It will also examine how companies can build cultures that identify risks early without undermining employee trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to ElGindy, organisations must move beyond treating cyber and physical security as separate disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThreats no longer operate within separate boundaries. Companies need integrated governance, intelligence, risk management and response capabilities. The greatest opportunity is to embed security into transformation programmes from the outset, rather than introducing controls after projects have already been designed or launched,\u201d said ElGindy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI brings new security opportunities and risks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics are expected to play a growing role in identifying emerging threats, detecting unusual behaviour and supporting decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, ElGindy stressed that these technologies must be supported by clear accountability, strong governance, high-quality data, privacy protection and continued human oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Saudi Arabia, these considerations are particularly relevant as the Kingdom develops giga-projects, airports, tourism destinations, critical infrastructure and smart cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ElGindy believes the scale of these developments creates an opportunity for Saudi Arabia to establish new security benchmarks. This includes integrating security, resilience and public safety into projects from the design and planning stages.<\/p>\n\n\n

Future Security Summit expands industry focus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These issues will form part of a wider conference programme covering the changing security landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions will include \u201cNavigating Uncertainty: The Future of Security in a Changing World,\u201d \u201cThe AI Playbook: Winning the Decade, Not the Dem,\u201d \u201cApplying AI: Reshaping Detection, Response, and Responsibility,\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cHuman Judgment in the Age of AI,\u201d<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme will feature experts from organisations including AFC Asian Cup Saudi 2027, Netflix, Bechtel Australia, Riyad Bank, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the International Civil Aviation Organization and the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the conference programme, Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 is expected to welcome more than 25,000 visitors and over 500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries.
