GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye<\/a> will debut next month as Eurasia’s digital corridor connecting global investors with T\u00fcrkiye’s fast-growing AI startups. The inaugural event takes place on 9-10 September 2026 at Istanbul Expo Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of the launch, Erhan AK, CFO at Fark Holding, said international investors should look beyond consumer apps. Instead, he urged them to focus on sectors where T\u00fcrkiye combines engineering talent with industrial depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He named industrial AI, fintech, defence tech, mobility, energy tech, and enterprise software as the most compelling opportunities for venture capitalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, AK pointed to startups that can scale across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. According to him, T\u00fcrkiye is set to become an innovation base for companies competing on a global stage. “The next global technology companies may be built in T\u00fcrkiye but designed for the world,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding Surge Fuels Momentum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

AK’s remarks come as Turkish startup funding accelerates sharply. In the first quarter of 2026, Turkish startups raised $559 million. That figure is more than seven times higher than the same period a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, T\u00fcrkiye has produced eight tech unicorns. Among them is Trendyol, the country’s $16.5 billion e-commerce giant, which will exhibit alongside more than 300 other companies at GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AK will speak on the panel titled “Next growth engines, emerging industries that could define T\u00fcrkiye’s digital decade” during the event’s two-day conference. Notably, Fark Holding’s innovation arm, Fark Labs, has become one of the most active industrial investors in Turkish AI ventures. Its teams in the USA, Netherlands, Finland, and Portugal are helping local startups expand internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“T\u00fcrkiye’s next success story will be built on AI-powered productivity, industrial innovation and entrepreneurial collaboration,” AK said. “The next generation of global champions will emerge where industrial expertise meets entrepreneurial innovation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technoparks Power the Startup Pipeline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, T\u00fcrkiye’s extensive technopark network will supply the startup pipeline that meets this incoming capital. Several major hubs will exhibit at GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye, including YT\u00dc Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technopark, Medeniyet Technopark, Antalya Teknokent, Giresun Teknopark, ITU ARI Teknokent, and Teknopark Ankara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YT\u00dc Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technopark, which hosts 750 companies, 14,000-plus R&D staff, and 70 AI-focused firms, will showcase its Starboard AI platform. The platform’s Techno-Scouting module scores portfolio companies against more than 60 parameters, helping investors identify the most promising startups by stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We view GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye as a global networking and growth platform for our technology companies,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Garip, Managing Director of YT\u00dc Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technopark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Medeniyet Technopark has run delegation programmes to the UK, Qatar, the UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, and Morocco through its TeknoK\u00f6pr\u00fc Investment Acceleration Programme. “What T\u00fcrkiye needs is not more ventures, but ‘deeper’ ventures,” said Ali Ramazan Tak, General Manager of Medeniyet Technopark, calling for startups that build AI models rather than just applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antalya Teknokent, for its part, emphasised the value of concentrated access. “GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye’s greatest contribution is bringing our startups together with international investors, large-scale corporations, public institutions and technology leaders on a single platform,” said Dr. \u0130brahim Yavuz, its General Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Giresun Teknopark highlighted its role in extending opportunity beyond T\u00fcrkiye’s largest cities. “GITEX Ai T\u00fcrkiye<\/a> allows our startups to scale their digital services globally,” said Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammet An\u0131l Kaya, General Manager of Giresun Teknopark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investors Bring $50 Billion in Assets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the ecosystem, a shared vision is emerging: AI will not replace industries, it will redefine them. Prof. Garip echoed this sentiment, noting that AI has become “a foundational technology reshaping business models.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, more than 100 investors from 20 nations, managing a combined $50 billion in assets, will meet T\u00fcrkiye’s technopark-incubated startups. Among them is Erdem Dereli, Venture Partner at Gobi Partners, a Malaysian VC firm managing $2 billion in assets. Dereli praised T\u00fcrkiye’s “technical depth and proven track record of producing mega-unicorns,” particularly in gaming and e-commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
