The system is now delivering production-grade AI compute to customers in the Kingdom and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rollout is powered by AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs. Meanwhile, Cisco Silicon One-based networking ties the whole system together, ensuring the performance, scale and resilience needed for demanding AI workloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This launch is a major milestone for the three companies. Together, they are building a large-scale, open AI platform designed to serve the region and the wider world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built on Cisco Silicon One and Cisco 800G optics, the Cisco N9000 Series platform links the MI355X GPUs into an AI-optimized fabric. As a result, the network offers low latency and strong operational resilience. This, in turn, allows HUMAIN to provide GPU-as-a-service for use cases ranging from model training to inferencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, the companies plan to expand this AI infrastructure further. Specifically, they intend to deploy up to 250 MW of additional capacity using AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD ROCm open software, alongside Cisco networking and supporting infrastructure. This next phase is part of the companies&#8217; previously announced joint venture, with deployment set to begin in 2027 and capacity coming online in the second half of that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, driven by strong customer demand, the joint venture remains on track to reach up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030. This would significantly expand Saudi Arabia&#8217;s overall AI capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Lisa Su, chair and CEO of AMD, called the launch an important milestone in the company&#8217;s work with HUMAIN. She noted that the open, high-performance platform is already serving customers and will scale considerably in the years ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, said the production deployment shows the company&#8217;s ability to build, operate and deliver advanced AI infrastructure at scale. He added that demand for sovereign, high-performance AI infrastructure continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco, echoed this sentiment. He emphasized that the region is moving quickly from AI investment to delivery, and that <a href=\"https:\/\/techxmedia.com\/en\/?s=cisco\">Cisco<\/a> is helping build the critical infrastructure needed to support that shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At its core, the collaboration is designed to build an open platform for sovereign AI. Governments, enterprises, research institutions and developers will gain access to advanced AI capabilities through open models, open software and locally operated infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the platform gives customers greater control over where their data resides, how their models are customized, and how their systems are deployed and governed. AMD&#8217;s high-performance compute platforms and open software ecosystem provide the flexible foundation, while Cisco&#8217;s open and interoperable network architecture gives customers visibility and centralized control as capacity scales. Consequently, organizations will be able to build AI capabilities aligned with their languages, cultures, regulatory requirements and national priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN aim to deliver the performance, scale and openness required by AI labs, model providers, enterprises and developers.
