The Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC)<\/a> will participate in GISEC Global 2026<\/a> as the Official Government Cybersecurity Partner. The event will take place from 16 to 18 September 2026 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, DESC will use its participation to showcase its latest initiatives and developments in cybersecurity. In addition, the Center aims to bring together international expertise and contribute to key discussions addressing the evolving global cybersecurity landscape. Alongside this, DESC will host the second editions of two flagship competitions: the Dubai Cyber Challenge \u2013 Government Edition and the School of Cyber Defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Dubai Cyber Challenge, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, will bring together cybersecurity professionals from Dubai Government entities. Through this, participants will test their capabilities via practical challenges designed to reflect real-world cyber scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, the School of Cyber Defense will give university students from across the UAE a chance to demonstrate and further develop their cybersecurity skills. Notably, finalists will compete during GISEC Global 2026 itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking on the participation, H.E. Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Chief Executive of the Dubai Electronic Security Center, said the digital landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and with it, cyber challenges are becoming increasingly complex. As a result, he noted, this requires an ecosystem that can anticipate change, adapt and respond effectively. He added that DESC continues to develop solutions and initiatives that keep pace with these shifts, strengthen Dubai’s readiness and enhance its ability to address future challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He further said that the Center’s participation offers an opportunity to showcase part of this work, exchange expertise with partners locally and internationally, and create new avenues for collaboration. He also noted that DESC looks forward to unveiling new developments reflecting its direction toward harnessing advanced technologies to address evolving cyber threats, thereby strengthening Dubai’s position as one of the world’s most secure and resilient digital cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On 17 September, DESC will host members of the International Coalition for Cybersecurity Workforce (ICCSW) on the Government Stage in Hall 6. During this session, speakers and experts will discuss the future of cybersecurity skills and the alignment of skills frameworks and professional standards internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Overall, DESC’s participation supports the objectives of the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy.
