We talked about breaking down silos between fraud and threat intelligence teams. We also discussed the newly launched Prevyn AI. Group-IB’s theme at GISEC this year is \u201cPredictive Cybersecurity\u201d. ” What key innovations are you showcasing at the event?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re focusing on prediction-first cybersecurity and anti-fraud solutions. This matters because it keeps us one step ahead of threat actors. Otherwise, we’re always one step behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, we’re presenting Cyber Fraud Fusion. It’s an operating model that unifies digital risk protection, threat intelligence, and anti-fraud in one place. As a result, every team works in the same space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, there’s our Cyber Fraud Intelligence Platform. It helps exchange signals about fraud and malicious activity beyond one organization. This includes banks, telcos, and regulators across an entire country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us more about Cyber Fraud Fusion, and why breaking down the silo between threat intelligence and fraud prevention is so critical for enterprises today?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look at any large organization. There’s a dedicated Security Operations Center team. There’s a separate Threat Intelligence team. There’s a Brand Protection team. And there’s a completely different Anti-Fraud team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s a siloed structure. As a result, information moving between these teams is often slow or missing entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, threat actors are moving fast. AI lets them move even faster. We also live in a world of instant payments, so there’s no room for delay. Ideally, you act before a fraudster completes their first transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why full visibility matters. You need to see the preparation stage, when infrastructure and scam pages are built. You need to see the distribution stage, when phishing steals credentials. And you need to see the final stage, when fraud actually happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyber Fraud Fusion unifies this entire workflow. Consequently, previously siloed teams now operate as one. This matches how fraudsters already work, since they don’t care about your org chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditional SOC teams are constantly fighting fire after fire. How does Group-IB’s predictive approach help security leaders stop attacks before they turn into full-blown breaches?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 20 to 30 years, our industry waited for the first alert before responding. That’s a reactive approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding more AI to react faster doesn’t solve this. It just means you lose more quickly, with bigger incidents. Instead, we need to anticipate a threat actor’s next move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is now possible. By analyzing behavior, infrastructure, and tooling over time, we can build tailored predictions. Furthermore, combining this external view with what internal teams see makes the prediction accurate and precise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group-IB recently released Prevyn AI. How does it differ from other AI tools on the market when mapping adversary behavior?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any AI is only as good as its data. So we built Prevyn AI on our own cybersecurity and fraud data sets. This is the largest historical data lake we have, which is essential for prediction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Prevyn AI isn’t a single model. It’s an orchestration layer managing multiple agents. Each agent focuses on one task: researching a threat actor, running investigations, or accelerating incident response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, it doesn’t just give you fast data access. It does the research for you. It helps you act faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the most alarming shifts you’re seeing in adversary tactics, specifically around ransomware monetization and supply chain risk?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supply chain attacks have become massive. This is because AI now helps attackers find vulnerabilities faster than defenders can patch them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the number of exploited zero-days keeps rising. Supply chain compromise makes this worse, since one flaw can expose every organization using that component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we shouldn’t forget the root cause: a person. Someone learns fast, adapts, and coordinates across the criminal ecosystem, often faster than a large enterprise can react. Ransomware follows the same pattern. Attackers use AI to find vulnerabilities, gain access, and exfiltrate data faster, all for more money and less effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group-IB has a long history of collaborating with international law enforcement like INTERPOL and Europol. How does adversary-centric intelligence directly assist in taking down cybercrime networks globally?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s always a human behind every attack. AI is just a tool. Someone still has to deploy it and act on the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, stopping a threat means identifying and arresting that person. We provide the research and investigation. However, we’re not a law enforcement agency, so we can’t make arrests ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s where partners like Interpol, Europol, and Afripol step in. They work on the ground. We support the global cooperation needed to dismantle a network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The payoff is significant. In the physical world, one arrest might prevent around 10 incidents. In the digital world, it can prevent thousands, since one actor’s reach is so much larger. That’s why we act early, the longer a threat actor operates, the more powerful they become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your long-term vision for the “Unified Risk Platform,” and what single piece of advice would you give to CISOs trying to future-proof their organizations against current and future threats?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our vision rests on three things. First, prediction first, because in the age of AI, extra time before an attack is everything. Second, breaking down internal silos so teams mirror the attacker’s own workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third, looking beyond one organization. No single entity sees the full picture. A bank sees a transaction. A telco sees device activity. A vendor sees malicious infrastructure. But each only has a fragment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we need reliable technology to share intelligence while preserving privacy. That’s the vision: prediction first, with collective defense. My advice to any CISO? Think several steps ahead. Don’t adopt tools just because they’re modern, think about how they raise efficiency over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You keep coming back to “lead time.” Can you share a real example of what that looks like in practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. I want to explain why lead time matters so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one recent case, we gave a customer 12 hours of lead time through predictive intelligence. As a result, they acted well before threat actors began exploiting vulnerabilities in their infrastructure. This wasn’t about stopping an attack in real time. We had already acted in advance, because we knew exactly who would attack, and how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same logic applies to fraud. Our anti-fraud tools analyze behavior in real time. This lets us measure intent to commit fraud, giving organizations hours of warning before a transaction happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
