Vertiv<\/a> has agreed to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a Europe based provider of fluid management, commissioning and load testing services for high density, liquid cooled data centers and other applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The acquisition is expected to expand Vertiv thermal services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It will also support Vertiv’s strategy to provide services across the thermal management chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n KES will add specialized capabilities covering system preparation, performance validation, monitoring, maintenance and lifecycle optimization. The deal builds on Vertiv’s existing fluid management presence in North America, including its acquisition of PurgeRite in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By combining KES’s regional field expertise and load testing capabilities with Vertiv’s existing services portfolio, the companies are expected to provide broader support for customers deploying and operating AI and high density infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “As computing density increases, the performance of cooling and power infrastructure will depend as much on execution in the field as on engineering and system design,” said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Albertazzi said Vertiv’s acquisition of PurgeRite in December 2025 established a fluid management foundation in North America, while KES is expected to build on that foundation in EMEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The expansion comes as high performance computing and AI workloads increase heat densities and accelerate the adoption of liquid cooling. In these systems, fluid quality can affect uptime, thermal performance and equipment life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Contamination, trapped air, corrosion, improper chemistry and flow imbalances can reduce heat transfer efficiency. They can also contribute to equipment degradation and create commissioning and operational risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beyond initial commissioning, customers require lifecycle fluid management services to support system availability, thermal performance, equipment longevity and operational economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n KES provides fluid system preparation, flushing, filtration, water treatment, commissioning and performance validation. It also offers thermal load testing for liquid cooling infrastructure and electrical load testing for critical power systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Together, Vertiv and KES are expected to provide a broader set of services designed to reduce operational complexity through a single partner for commissioning, testing, fluid management and ongoing operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The combined capabilities are also expected to support cooling system performance through clean, balanced and validated fluid systems. In addition, the companies aim to help customers maintain compliance with regional fluid handling, treatment and disposal requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thermal load testing is expected to provide greater confidence in infrastructure readiness before facilities enter operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n KES is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, and serves customers across the EMEA region. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed and are not expected to be material to Vertiv’s financial results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The acquisition is expected to strengthen Vertiv thermal services capabilities as data centers adopt higher density computing and liquid cooling.
