Our priority at ADIPEC this year, is to show how energy companies can build resilience across the full asset lifecycle, from design and build through to operations, maintenance and optimisation, with energy and emissions in mind from the beginning. CONNECT, our industrial intelligence platform, ties it together by bringing engineering, operations and business data into one trusted place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the AVEVA booth, visitors will see live demonstrations of data-centric engineering, digital twin foundations, AI-driven asset health monitoring and industrial knowledge graphs, alongside ADNOC\u2019s experience of using AVEVA solutions to drive operational value. With a regional partner, we will also show a living digital twin that gives operators a 360-degree view of energy consumption and emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our optimisation zone will show how AVEVA Unified Supply Chain, Process Optimization and Predictive Asset Optimization help operators anticipate issues, model what-if scenarios and improve performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can industrial intelligence, AI, and digital twins help energy companies improve operational resilience and respond more effectively to industry challenges?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resilience comes down to reducing uncertainty. Through industrial intelligence, leaders use real-time data on assets and manufacturing process along with AI and the proper interpretation of this data to test scenarios, uncover limits, and explore available solutions before anything is implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital twins make this practical. An end-to-end twin that links physical assets with real-time data can turn insight into concrete action, and teams can try changes digitally before touching live production systems. Predictive analytics adds early warning, flagging potential equipment problems before they become unplanned shutdowns, which protects production and safety alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaboration across complex international partnerships in energy sector is important to resilience in the years to come, and it can only be achieved with the proper industrial intelligence base in place. Human factor is crucial, since it is the combination of human knowledge, operational data and AI technologies that ensures resilience becomes reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy companies generate large amounts of data, but turning it into actionable insights can be challenging. How can they better connect their infrastructure and data to support faster, more informed decisions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We see it as three steps, and the first is visibility. You can\u2019t manage what you don\u2019t measure, so energy companies need to connect their infrastructure and bring operational and engineering data into one trusted place. Most already have plenty of data, but it is scattered across systems and formats installed over many years, which makes it hard to act on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second is turning those connections into system-level intelligence, using analytics, AI and data in context. A platform like CONNECT consolidates and contextualises the data, so engineering, operations and business teams work from the same source of truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What challenges do energy companies face when adopting AI across their operations, and how can they overcome them to achieve practical results?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fundamental challenge here is the data. A poor data foundation, poor infrastructure, and IT\/OT silos are the things that prevent the implementation project from going beyond a pilot phase. Moreover, cybersecurity is an essential part of the process from day one. It is important to have one reliable, context-aware foundation for implementation on open, interoperable platforms. Closed technology stacks are in the past now. Governance and people matter just as much. Operators will not implement an innovation unless they trust it, thus making the pilot fail. Appropriate governance, human in the loop and proper training of the workforce provide the needed level of trust, especially in critical facilities. Here, the operations cannot be endangered. Industrial AI assistants facilitate cooperation between engineers and operators using digital twins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To achieve practical results, it is necessary to begin with the business problem and the desired result and prove their value first on one asset. Predictive maintenance and optimisation can become a good starting point, as their value is easily measurable and self-financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As AI adoption grows, how can energy companies balance the increasing demand for digital technologies with energy efficiency and sustainability goals?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demand is real, and the answer is to treat AI infrastructure as the complex industrial site it is. Energy efficiency needs to be built in from the outset, using engineering and simulation tools to design and optimise infrastructure before it becomes operational<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with data centre builders, operators and end users, AVEVA and our parent company Schneider Electric support digital twin capability for large-scale AI factories. Customers can design, simulate, build, operate and optimise them more effectively. That speeds deployment while improving performance, energy efficiency and GPU utilisation. Once a facility is operating, energy optimisation and predictive analytics keep it running without any hiccups. AI can help make artificial intelligence infrastructure itself more energy efficient, and sustainability and decarbonisation remain at the heart of the conversation across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, what role do you see AI and digital twins playing in shaping the future of the energy sector, particularly across the Middle East, Turkey, and Central Asia?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the next few years, AI and digital twins will be weaved into daily operations. Digital twins will create a digital thread throughout the lifecycle of the assets through open, interoperable data that is contextual and will aid in accelerating the creation of infrastructure. This will make it easier to streamline design and construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI agents will increasingly support engineers and operators, particularly as traditional operational skills become scarcer. The biggest shift will be from humans operating systems to humans supervising more autonomous ones, which has to happen step by step with governance in place because these facilities are critical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is positive outlook regarding the Middle East since the national strategies have made industrial AI their priority. Also, major energy and industrial companies are already using industrial AI, and this helps them integrate it from the ground up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
