Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence<\/a> (MBZUAI) has been awarded licensing and accreditation from the UAE\u2019s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). This certifies that MBZUAI will provide the highest quality academic programs to students, which will be recognized within the UAE as well as internationally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the announcement, His\nExcellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and Chairman of the\nBoard of Trustees at MBZUAI, said: \u201cReceiving official accreditation\nfrom the CAA is a confirmation of our commitment to the Leadership\u2019s vision of delivering\nexcellence and developing AI skills through education. We aim to provide students\nwith world-class courses in an environment that exceeds expectations in order\nto attract the best talent from across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commission for Academic\nAccreditation operates as part of the UAE\u2019s Ministry of Education to conduct a\nprogram of licensure of institutions of higher education, and accreditation of\neach of their academic programs. According to the CAA, it is of the utmost\nimportance that institutions in the UAE offer the highest quality academic\nprograms, which are recognized both within the country and internationally for\ntheir excellence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Sir Michael Brady, Interim\nPresident of MBZUAI, added: \u201cThis is a key accomplishment prior to the\nUniversity receiving the first intake of students later this year. We have\nensured that each MBZUAI program focuses on not only the most pertinent aspects\nof AI today, but that they will be delivered to the highest possible standards,\nensuring quality education for all who attend the University.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MBZUAI will offer Master of Science\n(MSc) and PhD level programs while also engaging policymakers and businesses\naround the world so that AI is harnessed as a force for positive\ntransformation. The University has already begun the process of vetting the\napplications for the 2020 intake, with over 1,200 applications received and in\nthe final stage of evaluation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate students can apply to MBZUAI\nvia the University\u2019s\nwebsite for 2020 registration. The first class of graduate students will\ncommence coursework at MBZUAI\u2019s\nMasdar City campus in August 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University will provide all\nadmitted students with a full scholarship, plus benefits such as a monthly\nallowance, health insurance, and accommodation.
