Mindware has extensively strengthened its security capabilities and portfolio. This will enable its channel partners to address the growing cyber security needs of enterprises across the Middle East and Africa <\/a>(MEA) region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the acquisition of Arrow ECS, Mindware\ninherited a large portfolio of security vendors. Among others, the revamped\nportfolio now includes Barracuda Networks, Forcepoint, McAfee, RSA, and Trend Micro.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Nicholas Argyrides, General Manager \u2013 Gulf at\nMindware explains, \u201cFor today\u2019s CIOs, IT security has become one of the highest\npriorities considering the increasing number as well as sophistication of cyber\nthreats. As organizations undergo digital transformation and expand their\ndigital presence, they, unsurprisingly, become more vulnerable to cyber-attacks.\nTechnology trends such as Cloud Computing also increase similar risks. As such,\nthe security shielding of companies needs to evolve, so as to include the\nlatest security solutions coupled with best practices. This will ensure that\nthe organization is not compromised in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAgainst such scenario, we see the security business\nas being one of the major growth drivers for Mindware and our partners. Our\nfocus in this segment will, of course, mean an increased investment in\nresources, training and certifications.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mindware has been steadily building out its security\nteam and, by now, has a healthy spread of security specialists installed in\nevery key country across the region. They work with partners to ensure that the\nvarious security vendors in Mindware\u2019s portfolio are well-represented and\npromoted. The team comprises of product managers assigned to the various\nsecurity vendors. These product managers work closely with the vendors to plan\nand implement strategies to increase market penetration. In addition, there is\na parallel team of certified and highly skilled pre-sales engineers. These\nengineers are not only proficient in helping partners conduct proof of concepts\n(PoCs) but, upon request, also supporting when it comes to the actual implementation.\nThis is especially helpful for those partners that are yet to develop their skillsets\nfor particular solutions or technology verticals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distributor has also developed robust capabilities\nin conducting demos and PoCs pertaining to every single one of its security\nvendors, always in conjunction with its system integrator partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese PoCs carried out by Mindware and our partners\nare often executed by deploying the product in a virtual setting in the end customer\u2019s\ndatacentre, which is fast becoming the favoured mode when it comes to testing.\nAlternatively, we also support partners in conducting PoCs by physically\ninstalling products on prem. These demos allow potential customers to test the\nsolutions prior to a full-fledged implementation, which is invaluable in\ndemonstrating the effectiveness of a particular offering,\u201d said Mr. Argyrides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cloud team at Mindware is currently working to\nidentify and add relevant security solutions to the recently launched Mindware\nCloud Marketplace in order to create co-sell opportunities for partners using\nthe platform. These solutions are typically those that complement the Microsoft\nproducts currently available on the Marketplace and can be sold as a bundle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mindware also has agreements with its various\nsecurity vendors to act as their Authorized Training Centre (ATC). The company\nregularly conducts training and certification programs across the region for end\ncustomers as well as channel partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help enhance skills, we plan and conduct a very dynamic series of\nseminars and training programmes every month, which are typically attended by both\nend users and partners.
