Working with VMware, Inc., Vodafone Group has completed the roll-out of network virtual infrastructure (NVI) across all of its European business and 21 markets in total. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the completion of work\nin Albania, Vodafone now has a single digital network architecture across its European\nmarkets, enabling the operator to design, build, test and deploy next\ngeneration functions more securely and around 40 percent more quickly*. Infrastructure\nautomation also helps limit the amount of manual intervention required to\noperate and maintain Vodafone networks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
VMware\u2019s telco\ncloud infrastructure is deployed by Vodafone at more than 57 sites across\nEurope and 25 in its Africa, Asia and Oceania markets. The cloud-based\ninfrastructure supports voice core, data core and service platforms on over 900\nvirtual network functions. Almost 50 percent of Vodafone\u2019s core network nodes providing\nvoice and data services are run on VMware\u2019s NVI platform, vCloud NFV. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
