In excess of 4.3 million collective remote learning sessions have\nbeen delivered to date, spanning all curricula and year groups and with an\nattendance rate of close to 100 per cent, ensuring students continue to benefit\nfrom the highest quality education during these unprecedented times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\nensure its remote learning plans are effective and as accommodating as possible\nof families\u2019 different needs, GEMS recently conducted a survey, the results of which\naffirm the effectiveness and success of the E-learning offering in schools. Headline\nresults include 92 per cent student satisfaction, with 92 per cent of students also\nindicating that they have learnt new topics and 88 per cent saying remote\nlearning sessions are engaging and interactive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also\nnotable was that 84 per cent of respondents felt their school\u2019s remote learning\nplan struck the right balance between online and offline sessions, which is key\nto maintaining student well-being. In addition, 92 per cent of parents\nindicated that their queries and concerns had been effectively addressed,\nreflecting the importance of schools receiving and acting upon feedback from\nall stakeholders in order to maximise results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nsuccess of the remote learning plans can be attributed to the more than 7,500 highly\ntrained teachers working in GEMS schools in the UAE, as well as the\norganisation\u2019s USD 500 million (AED 1.8 billion) investment in recent years in\ntechnology platforms and solutions to enhance students\u2019 learning experience. GEMS\nhas long been working towards redefining the way schools teach and students\nlearn, having set up divisions such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gemsxonline.com\/\">GEMS X<\/a> that specialise in the\nresearch, design and prototyping of new educational ecologies and emerging\ntechnologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Krishnan\nGopi, Group Chief Disruption Officer at GEMS Education<\/strong>,\nsaid: \u201cWe are proud of the speed at which we were able to deploy our remote\nlearning plans and the quality of teaching and learning taking place. As a\nresult, we are in a position to guarantee the continuity of our world-class\neducation provision, ensuring students in our international schools are best\nplaced to complete this academic year and transition into the next, while our\nIndian curriculum students can make a successful start of the new academic year\nremotely.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nresponse to the ongoing period of school closures and the COVID-19 lockdown, GEMS\nrecently launch another solution, \u2018Enrol from Home\u2019, designed to help parents\nsecure admission for their children with ease and from the comfort of their own\nhome. Parents can enrol their children in\nschools by completing a simple online application form to receive a placement\nwithin 48 hours and start benefitting from the E-learning platforms and virtual\nclassrooms. They can also opt for flexible payment options, making accessing\nquality education easy and affordable.
