As communities across the region continue to practice physical distancing, ToTok\u2014the instant messaging app is giving users more ways to celebrate Ramadan this year. The \u2018ToTok Ramadan Virtual Gathering<\/a>\u2019 <\/em>campaign ultimately encourages people to have fun while staying safe amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Running until May 23, all ToTok users will have access to in-app seasonal competitions and the chance to win fantastic prizes, in addition to enjoying bespoke content for the Holy Month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geared towards\nfoodies, all ToTok users can participate in the Best Ramadan Recipe Contest<\/em> launching on May 4 and the Best Ramadan Dish Contest<\/em> launching on\nMay 14. The first contest encourages ToTok users to submit a video of\nthemselves making their favourite Ramadan recipe. For the second contest, users\ncan submit photographs of their most unforgettable Ramadan dishes and the\nstories associated with them. Both competitions will follow a similar format,\nwhich will see entries published on ToTok\u2019s competition page, where users can\nvote for their favourite submissions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top five entries with the most votes at the end of the competition will be announced as winners, with the chance to win popular consumer electronics from Huawei<\/a> such as its latest Huawei P40 Pro smartphone, a Huawei <\/a>Watch GT 2, and the latest edition of Huawei<\/a> FreeBuds wireless earbuds.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to\nthe competitions, users can now greet friends and family on ToTok using the\n\u2018Ramadan Kareem\u2019 emoji rain within their chats, which will shower their screen\nwith the season\u2019s greetings. The ToTok News feature is also being tailored to\nprovide users with the latest Ramadan updates such as a Ramadan timetable,\ncommunity initiatives, and more. As always, users can keep in touch with family\nand friends through ToTok\u2019s HD video calls and group video calls, bringing\nloved ones into the comfort of their home to share special moments such as\nIftar or Suhoor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
