While some vendors seek to\nprotect legacy technology stacks by dragging Kubernetes and cloud-native\nfunctionality backwards to preserve proprietary virtualization, Red Hat does\nthe opposite: Bringing traditional application stacks forward into a layer of\nopen innovation, enabling customers to truly transform at their speed, not at\nthe whims of proprietary lock-in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Red Hat OpenShift 4.4<\/strong>, the latest version of the industry\u2019s leading enterprise Kubernetes\nplatform, which builds on the simplicity and scale of Kubernetes Operators.\nRebased on Kubernetes 1.17, OpenShift 4.4 introduces a developer-centric view\nof platform metrics and monitoring for application workloads; monitoring\nintegration for Red Hat Operators; cost management for assessing the resources\nand costs used for specific applications across the hybrid cloud; and much\nmore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\naddress the management challenges of running cloud-native applications across\nlarge-scale, production and distributed Kubernetes clusters, Red Hat is also\nintroducing a new management solution. <strong>Red\nHat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes<\/strong>, soon available as a\nTechnology Preview, provides a single, simplified control point for the\nmonitoring and deployment of OpenShift clusters at scale, offering\npolicy-driven governance and application lifecycle management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delivering a foundation for innovation, everywhere and\nanywhere<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Innovation is more\nthan simply delivering new technologies. As with Red Hat\u2019s entire open hybrid\ncloud portfolio, these solutions are backed by a complete ecosystem of\nsupporting software, hardware and services and by Red Hat\u2019s extensive expertise\nin integrating and operating open innovation.
