Face covers will be required for both employees and customers alike. In addition, temperature checks are now conducted at the store\u2019s entrance, coupled with posted health questions. Apple has also instituted deeper cleaning on all surfaces, including display products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/05\/18\/huawei-uncertainties-new-us-chip-rules-tsmc\/\">Huawei admits uncertainty following new US chip curbs<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the U.S. government\u2019s announcement that it would further thwart Huawei\u2019s chip-making capability, the Chinese telecoms equipment giant condemned the new ruling for being \u201carbitrary and pernicious.\u201d Adding to its woes, the Nikkei Asian Review reported that Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. has stopped taking new orders from the company. (Huawei declined to comment, while TSMC said the report was \u201cpurely market rumor.\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/05\/17\/jack-ma-to-resign-from-softbank-groups-board-of-directors\/\">Jack Ma to resign from SoftBank Group\u2019s board of directors<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company did not give a reason for the resignation, but over the past year, Ma has been pulling back from business roles to focus on philanthropy. Last September, he resigned as Alibaba\u2019s chairman, and is also expected to step down from its board at its annual general shareholder\u2019s meeting this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/05\/18\/oculus-surpasses-100-million-in-quest-content-sales\/\">Oculus surpasses $100 million in Quest content sales<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook-owned Oculus released a new sales figure as the company reaches the one-year anniversary of the release of the Quest headset.
