The campaign is part of the pre-launch activities for Space42\u2019s upcoming Thuraya 4 satellite, a cutting-edge mobility system aimed at enhancing global connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative will invite students from Ministry of Education-run schools to visit Yahsat Space Services\u2019 facilities across the UAE. As part of the \u2018One World. Deeply Connected\u2019 campaign, the tours will offer students hands-on learning experiences that align with the UAE\u2019s STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign will allow students to explore Yahsat\u2019s satellite control center, engage with engineers, and participate in interactive workshops, presentations, and Q&A sessions, both in-person and virtually. Sulaiman Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Students\u2019 Wellbeing Sector at the Ministry of Education, commended Space42\u2019s commitment to integrating public school students into its initiatives, emphasizing the importance of space sciences in realizing the UAE\u2019s national vision. Al Kaabi noted, \u201cThis collaboration with Space42 will deepen students\u2019 knowledge in advanced sciences and space technology, empowering them to lead essential sectors and connect with the UAE\u2019s achievements in space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over six weeks in October and November 2024, Yahsat Space Services and Control Centre in Abu Dhabi will host students from grades 7 to 9, with one school visiting each week. Students will also tour the Thuraya gateway and offices in Sharjah, gaining insights into real-world applications of their STEM studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
