Microsoft has appointed Samer Abu-Ltaif as the new President of Microsoft Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), succeeding Ralph Haupter. Haupter will now lead the newly formed Microsoft Small, Medium Enterprises, and Channel Partner organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his new role, Abu-Ltaif will leverage his extensive experience in digital transformation to strengthen Microsoft\u2019s presence across over 120 markets in the EMEA region. His leadership led to several key achievements, including the launch of Microsoft’s first datacenter in South Africa and additional datacenters in the UAE, Qatar, Poland, and the upcoming regions in Greece, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya. He was also instrumental in establishing the Microsoft Africa Development Center in Kenya and driving the company\u2019s $1.5 billion investment in Abu Dhabi\u2019s G42 to accelerate AI innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
