Belkin, a consumer electronics brand, has released its 2024 Impact Report, announcing a major milestone, achieving carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 emissions. This marks a key step in the company\u2019s broader goal of reaching full carbon neutrality by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now in its 40th year, Belkin continues to focus on sustainability and responsible product design. The company reported solid progress in reducing emissions and switching to more eco-friendly materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Belkin reduced 1,890 metric tons of CO2e at the product level, aligned with Scope 3 emissions. It also surpassed its single-use plastic packaging reduction target years ahead of schedule\u2014cutting it by 89%. Since 2019, Belkin has saved over 2,183 metric tons of plastic, the equivalent of 114 million water bottles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The brand has now transitioned over 359 products to use 72\u201375% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. This change has replaced 432 metric tons of virgin plastic. In 2025, popular chargers and cables will feature up to 90% PCR materials, helping reduce emissions by up to 85%. All packaging will be plastic-free and Global Recycling Standard certified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Belkin also supports responsible recycling. It has helped recycle 28,445 metric tons of electronics, 11,463 metric tons of packaging, and 1,358 metric tons of batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For its ongoing sustainability efforts, Belkin earned a Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis, placing it in the top 15% globally among companies in the consumer electronics sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
