The initiative covers quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RTA aims to apply these technologies to improve transportation, smart mobility, and infrastructure. The goal is to enhance system performance, data protection, digital security, and sustainable innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this effort, RTA organised a scientific workshop titled <em>\u201cQuantum Communication and Its Applications in Smart Infrastructure\u201d<\/em>, in collaboration with Cisco, a global leader in networking and <a href=\"https:\/\/techxmedia.com\/en\/category\/emerging-technologies\/cybersecurity\/\">cybersecurity<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event featured experts in quantum communication and was attended by technical and engineering professionals from RTA and other organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop covered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quantum communication principles and use cases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developments in quantum computing, networks, and cybersecurity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Global research insights in the quantum field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>RTA reported that quantum communication offers advanced data security and fast transmission. These benefits support better integration and smoother operations across departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this move, RTA becomes one of the region\u2019s first government entities to explore quantum solutions in the transport sector. The initiative aligns with Dubai\u2019s vision of digital readiness and future-focused infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RTA stated that it is working closely with global partners and research institutions to study how quantum technologies can be applied across multiple domains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One key area of interest is quantum communication, which uses light particles (photons) to transmit information securely. This method ensures confidentiality and detects any tampering attempts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another area is quantum computing, which allows fast data processing and complex analysis. RTA sees potential in using this to analyse traffic, manage congestion, and optimise autonomous transport systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, quantum cybersecurity is being considered to protect digital platforms, smart infrastructure, and internal networks.
