Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a hybrid multi-cloud computing company, has helped Yelo, a prominent Saudi Transportation Solutions company, overhaul its infrastructure with cutting-edge technology. The result is impressive: 99.99% database availability, a 20% reduction in response time, and a 30% drop in latency. These advancements ensure fast, consistent service for Yelo’s customers. Additionally, automation has streamlined database patching, enhancing security and safeguarding sensitive data.

Yelo, recognized as Saudi Arabia’s top transportation solutions provider, prides itself on delivering personalized and seamless digital experiences for its customers. However, its previous fragmented database system posed significant challenges in ensuring smooth digital services. The company relied on multiple database engines across on-premises and cloud data centers, making it difficult to scale operations.

“Our team was spending too much time on system maintenance, which stifled scalability and innovation, all while driving up costs,” said Abdelrahim Alhanbali, IT Director at Yelo.

After conducting a comprehensive Proof of Concept (PoC) with Nutanix and evaluating market reports, Yelo chose Nutanix as its technology partner. The company implemented Nutanix’s cloud platform, virtualization solutions, storage management, and database platforms.

“Standardizing on a single vendor immediately simplified our processes. Consolidating our databases on Nutanix cut our monthly cloud bill in half, and the saved IT manhours have further reduced our Total Cost of Ownership (TCO),” Alhanbali added.

Nutanix’s innovative features have significantly reduced IT management overheads. Database provisioning time has dropped from two weeks to just 90 minutes, while updating 50 databases, which used to take over a month and a half, now takes under a week with Nutanix’s one-click patching.

Performance improvements have been equally dramatic. Database throughput has increased by over 30%, while response times and latency have decreased by 20% and 30%, respectively. Concurrent user support has surged by 40%, enhancing the customer experience across Yelo’s expansive network.

“The Nutanix Database Service works seamlessly in the background, ensuring our app delivers instant, intuitive experiences for our customers,” said Alhanbali. “This has made all the difference, from vehicle selection to payments, ensuring the most efficient service possible.”

Security is another key benefit of Nutanix’s solution. Automated patching has reduced patching time by five times, helping Yelo protect sensitive customer data, such as contact information, drivers’ licenses, and payment details.

“We handle sensitive data daily, and keeping our systems up to date is crucial for maintaining customer trust. Nutanix’s automated patching ensures we’re always secure,” Alhanbali noted.

Beyond infrastructure upgrades, Yelo has been impressed with Nutanix’s world-class support. Alhanbali commended Nutanix for providing proactive monitoring, optimization recommendations, and guidance on best practices to ensure continued system performance and reliability.

Looking ahead, Yelo plans to migrate more database workloads to Nutanix and explore how the platform’s capabilities in AI, machine learning, and analytics can unlock deeper insights, drive innovation, and further enhance customer experiences.
