EnGenius to boost security for enterprises and prevent any unauthorized access to their wireless networks while securing all the authorized users by showcasing new Cloud PRO Access points highlighting AirGenie. These pre-built enterprise-grade security features secure the wireless networks against malicious cyber-attacks.

In the last year, an increase in the incidence of destructive cyberattacks on corporate networks has highlighted the need for enterprises to improve their wireless security. The security dangers have only increased due to the hybrid work style, with distant workers appearing to be particularly vulnerable to such attacks. The new EnGenius Cloud PRO Access points are designed to protect both on-premise and remote workers who may need to access sensitive data from on-premise infrastructure or the cloud at any time throughout their work.

Alishan Zaidi, Sales Director at EnGenius, says, “EnGenius has always been a pioneer of breakthrough networking technologies, and with our AI-enabled EnGenius Cloud, we helped deliver unprecedented ease and efficiency in network management, right from deployment to monitoring and troubleshooting. We are now enhancing our Cloud-enabled Access Points portfolio with these launches allowing organizations to detect and take action against rogue APs that are conduits for cybercrime.”

The EnGenius AirGenie, an auto system that allows network administrators to meet their requirements and design a network architecture that provides an industry-leading security platform to completely protect the airspace from wireless attacks, is included in the new EnGenius Cloud PRO Access points ECW 622, ECW 632, and ECW 735. AirGenie can assist you in sorting through a list of Suspicious SSIDs by Type and Severity so you can judge and take action.

When a victim connects to a rogue AP with the same SSID and MAC address as an official AP, the attacker can steal all of the victim’s data. A rogue AP can also fake the authorized AP’s wireless MAC address. An attacker can initiate an attack by impersonating a lawful access point.

In addition to WIPS, AirGenie offers advanced WIDS technology for wireless connection protection. WIDS (Wireless intrusion detection system) scans the radio spectrum used by wireless LANs for illegal, rogue APs and wireless attack tools, and notifies a systems administrator promptly if one is found. WIPS (Wireless Intrusion Prevention System) monitors the radio spectrum for unwanted access points (intrusion detection) and can perform countermeasures automatically (intrusion prevention). It can detect and classify threats properly, as well as block connections between the rogue AP and wireless clients.

These enterprise-grade WiFi APs include built-in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, among other features. This enables businesses to use them as both beacons and sensors for detecting and tracking BLE devices. The API can be used by third parties to provide asset tracking and analytics utilizing battery-powered Bluetooth tags or wearables such as healthy fitness monitors.

A one-year Pro license is included with the Pro AP. Visit www.engenius.ai/cloud/ to learn more about EnGenius Cloud PRO Access points.
