Disney and Pixar’s magical worlds have arrived on the Miko 3 robot. The collaboration is a historic “first” in the consumer robotics space — and the latest indication that artificial intelligence (AI) will play a growing role in the future of kids’ entertainment in the UAE and KSA.

Miko, a consumer robotics company specializing in children’s education and entertainment, announced its Disney collaboration today to customers in over 140 countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia. On the bestselling Miko 3 robot, animated storybooks featuring characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana,” “Frozen,” “The Lion King,” Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story,” “Big Hero 6,” “Coco,” and other Disney and Pixar worlds are now available.

“Bringing the imaginative worlds of Disney and Pixar to our platform represents a big step in kids robotics,” said Sneh Vaswani, Miko co-founder and CEO. “Miko is thrilled to be the first robotics platform to have such an innovative collaboration with Disney, and we look forward to raising the benchmark for kids’ engagement in the UAE, KSA and over the world.

Miko became the first company to host an official Disney app on a kids robot platform after being chosen as the only Asia-based startup participant in Disney Accelerator, a program that connects technology companies with The Walt Disney Company’s expertise and resources.

Audiobooks and read-along stories with animated visuals are among the new additions to Miko’s content library. The stories “Zootopia,” “Tangled,” and Disney and Pixar’s “Ratatouille” from Walt Disney Animation Studios have also been added to the lineup of Disney content available on the Miko 3 robot.

According to Vaswani, the Disney app will continue to evolve with more experiences and interactivity.

Miko 3 is a kidSAFE+ COPPA Certified, Mom’s Choice Award-Winning robot friend for children aged 5 to 10.

Families can access select Disney stories for free, or they can subscribe to Miko Max to gain full access to content from Disney, Paramount, Kidoodle.TV, Da Vinci Kids, Cosmic Kids, and other brands.
