Huawei’s BladeAAU Pro drives new 5G growth for du

Share

Du has successfully placed Huawei’s next-generation BladeAAU Pro into commercial use. The new BladeAAU Pro delivers an innovative and streamlined solution for du’s 5G commercial deployment by unlocking new opportunities for its 5G business development in unique scenarios, hence accelerating du’s 5G business growth.

To prepare for 5G deployment, operators must fully use existing 2G, 3G, and 4G stations. However, this comes with a number of issues, including locating antenna space, dealing with wind resistance, and ensuring that towers can support the weight of equipment.

Furthermore, for single-pole locations, 5G development necessitates extensive repair of old commercial network antennas. It adds extra complications if the pole is shared by two operators. BladeAAU Pro streamlines installations for operators by enabling multiple bands in less antenna area by merging both active and passive antenna units into one box.

When compared to competing solutions, BladeAAU Pro raises the height of 5G RF units to boost 5G coverage in du’s commercial networks and improves user experience. Test findings show an average user experience of about 600Mbps.

The integrated architecture streamlines site deployment by reducing the need for further adjustments, resulting in a considerable reduction in 5G building time. BladeAAU Pro significantly minimises the amount of space needed for antenna installation, which saves OPEX. Furthermore, multi-band capability gives you more options to maintain smooth spectrum development in the next years.
