Since the invasion of Ukraine has placed organizations around the world on high alert for cyberattacks, Infoblox, the DNS management and security technology company, is committing its top threat intelligence to GitHub in order to share it with the rest of the security community.

Due to the rapid pace of these cyber assaults, the corporation decided to offer its threat information in the form of machine-readable files, which allow defenders to easily incorporate threat data into their systems.

Infoblox’s GitHub repository has over 800 indications, including dangerous and suspicious domains, as well as legitimate domains that may be blacklisted by other vendors via automated analytics. Customers of Infoblox can access detailed information in the Threat Indicator Data Exchange (TIDE) database.

Infoblox will continue to publish higher level attack campaign analyses on the Infoblox community site and share high priority threat intelligence indications relating to key world events to the GitHub community. These measures will increase the resources available to security defenders when they confront increased threats, which occurs frequently during crises.

Customers of BloxOne Threat Defense may strengthen their protection by utilising the newest threat indicators for Ukraine that the team has already added to the product feeds. BloxOne Threat Defense automates the implementation of these indications to simplify protection against certain risks. BloxOne Threat Defense can also allow clients to restrict traffic from certain eastern European nations, including Russia, rather than the entire area, as well as monitor sanctions lists to ensure compliance with applicable trade rules and regulations.

“We’re committed to doing what we can to protect organizations from cyber attacks,” said Craig Sanderson, VP of Product Management, Infoblox. “The escalating risks require that we collectively help critical infrastructure, supply chain vendors, and other potential targets defend themselves. This is also why we are bringing product enhancements, like more granular threat feeds, and free access to BloxOne Threat Defense to bolster customers’ cyber arsenals.”

The company is offering free limited-time access to BloxOne Threat Defense Advanced, the industry’s trusted DNS security solution, for organizations that are not Infoblox customers. This solution protects against cyber threats, such as modern malware, data exfiltration, domain generation algorithms, and more.
