Kasten by Veeam claims continued Kubernetes growth nearing triple digits

Kasten by Veeam, a company for Kubernetes backup and recovery, announced near triple digit Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) year-over-year growth in fiscal year 2022, driven by strong demand for simple, secure protection for Kubernetes deployments. Kasten, the fastest growing business within Veeam, also expanded its footprint by doubling the size of its staff and extending its presence in the enterprise space and key vertical markets such as finance, wireless telecom, and the public sector.

At the end of 2022, K10 V5.5 will be released, bringing significant new powers in the areas of autonomous operations and cloud native expansion. The operational complexity at scale and across various deployment environments were addressed, and it supported an organization’s ability to automate data administration duties. The company believes that third-party backup tools will become commonplace in data security as containers and Kubernetes become a more popular production platform.

According to recent ESG research commissioned by Kasten, “83% of organizations will be using containers in the next 12 months,” said Christophe Bertrand, Practice Director at ESG. 

Bertrand added “The container backup market will continue at a fast pace, considering 93% of organizations think it is important to have a container backup and recovery management solutions that works across multiple public cloud infrastructure. “

Over the years, there has been a significant rise in the adoption of Kubernetes, and as a result, the demand for better data security is expected to drive this growth further.
