According to the IDC Enterprise Storage Systems Tracker, Q3 2022, Lenovo has reached a new milestone by becoming the #1 entry storage provider in EMEA for the first time in revenue. The new rankings place Lenovo first in the “Price Bands 1-4” category, surpassing all other storage vendors for the first time. Lenovo’s expansion occurred during a period in which the EMEA Entry storage market grew by +36.8% year on year in terms of Vendor Revenue (USD).

“The ability to collect, protect, store, analyze, and manage data is vital to an organization’s business, which is why Lenovo is committed to being the most trusted partner able to deliver on this,” said Giovanni Di Filippo, EMEA President of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group.

“As the #1 ranked provider for entry storage revenue in EMEA, we are successfully delivering new economics enabling business critical storage to the masses and through business partners and industry customers of all sizes. Now, companies everywhere can harness the power of data to transform their businesses.”

New enhanced security features, such as ransomware protection with tamper-proof snapshots, protect data across the enterprise, and Lenovo’s new TruScale Infinite Storage assists entry-level businesses in quickly adapting to data expansion. The perpetual pay-as-you-grow expansion service can help accelerate innovation, reduce operational complexity, and increase agility by seamlessly scaling performance and capacity. Customers benefit from secure, highly reliable on-premises storage with a cloud-economics model that helps ensure their IT infrastructure is always ready to respond to changing business requirements.

“The Lenovo storage vision looks at data as an organization’s most important asset, as with it, the need for a trusted IT architecture that spans client-edge-network-cloud-intelligence to help create insights that can transform their businesses,” said Marco Pozzoni, Director EMEA Storage Sales, Lenovo. “As the proliferation of data continues, with storage offerings ranging from entry to midrange, to cloud scale, Lenovo is innovating to provide differentiated storage solutions that address high-performance needs while enabling scalability and security from edge to the datacenter.”

Coupled with its expanding partner ecosystem and channel-first commitment, Lenovo storage solutions are providing customers with reliable, easy to use data management for distributed locations and giving customers from the smallest business to the world’s largest cloud providers the confidence to manage their data today and expand their data landscape for the future.

Data management solutions must now be cost-effective, dependable, secure, and scalable. The ability to distribute, protect, analyze, and manage data is critical to the business and customer success strategies of any organization. Lenovo is assisting customers in a variety of high-growth industries in modernizing their data management infrastructure by providing solutions that can flexibly scale across hybrid-multi cloud environments, enable rapid deployment of new services, and efficiently process growing amounts of data.

FC Internazionale Milano, one of the world’s most popular football clubs, recently looked for new ways to use data to improve player performance, content management, and community engagement. To accomplish this, Inter leadership turned to Lenovo to revamp the club’s entire technological infrastructure, ultimately using data to achieve new innovation goals.

“We’ve been enhancing our technological capabilities in recent years, not just to provide fans with more ways to interact with the game, but also to help players analyze and enhance their performance,” explained Mark Van Huuksloot, Inter’s Chief Operating Officer. “Both of these activities generate massive amounts of data. We have 60 million GPS data points relating to player performance from the last two football seasons alone. So, ensuring that we have a highly performant, scalable, and reliable infrastructure at the heart of our activities is critical for driving innovation and transforming data into timely insights.”

Lenovo provides a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise-class data management solutions, including enterprise storage arrays and infrastructure, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Software Defined Storage (SDS), TruScale Infinite Storage as-a-service, and vertically focused workload solutions in collaboration with independent software vendor (ISV) application software partners. The company continues to build on a strong foundation of channel and ISV partners to deliver its comprehensive data management portfolio complete with customer-valued differentiation to meet demanding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for customers.
