Lenovo’s Storage Innovation and Channel-Centric Strategy Drive Record-Breaking Growth and Infrastructure Leadership

Lenovo announced new solutions to enable customers to better solutions for rapidly growing data management needs, coupled with new milestones in its enterprise storage momentum. For the first time, Lenovo is ranked as the #1 storage provider in the “Price Bands 1-4 (storage <$25K) external storage” category, which represents 61% of the total market for storage device units sold globally.

Lenovo was ranked as the top storage provider in EMEA for the second straight quarter in the same category. According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Enterprise Storage Systems Tracker, 4Q22, Lenovo also increased its position as the world’s fifth-largest storage supplier across all markets. New ThinkSystem storage systems help safeguard crucial data with cutting-edge ransomware protection, and its new enterprise-class storage solutions offer substantial power efficiency increases and data centre space savings to support sustainability goals. With an all-time high 138% YTY revenue increase, Lenovo’s storage portfolio has seen substantial growth over the past year.  

Lenovo’s comprehensive infrastructure solutions portfolio is experiencing strong market momentum, particularly in the edge-to-cloud servers, storage, and software categories. The company is expanding its offerings and transforming into a full-service solutions provider. Lenovo is a top three server company globally, and it has seen remarkable growth in the All-Flash Array (AFA) category, with a year-over-year growth rate of over 100%. The midrange storage category has also experienced growth, with a 22%2 increase. These developments highlight Lenovo’s growing market presence in comprehensive data management and storage. Lenovo TruScale Infrastructure-as-a-Service has also grown by over 600% Year-to-Date, contributing to the company’s overall success.
