The biggest mobile event of the year Mobile World Congress (MWC) is scheduled for 24th February (2020) in Barcelona, Spain. The event will be bustling for 4 consecutive days starting from Feb 24, 2020 to Feb 27, 2020.

MCW is the biggest show of the year for mobile tech geeks. Like every year it is expected to assemble the most recent innovations and revolutionary technology together with leading visionaries in 2020.

At MWC you may see most big brands and corporations even slightly connected to the mobile industry coming together and showcasing their latest devices, hardware, and innovations.

Out of all the advancements within the technology industry, 5G – the fifth generation of mobile wireless connectivity beats its forerunners with its astute capabilities and is majorly talked about innovation at MCW for the past few years. By 2025 it is projected to become the leading mobile technology. This new development in connected technology is influencing Industrial Revolution and is insightfully modifying lives, economies and cultures.

MWC 2020 is the most exciting time of the year for people who are looking to upgrade their phones as most of the manufacturers are expected to come up with their exclusive showcase of smartphones with 5G technology this time.

Here’s what to expect from the world’s biggest mobile phone manufacturers at Mobile World Congress 2020

Samsung @ MWC 2020:

Samsung has officially announced the introduction to their latest 5G technologies at MWC2020. However, if we discuss the launch of new mobile phones then we do not seem to be expecting any major launch from Samsung this year. The launch of Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip is already scheduled on Feb 11, 2020. So it might be only showcasing its new devices like Samsung Galaxy Buds+

Sony Mobile @ MWC 2020:

Sony has officially confirmed the launch of its new smartphones at MWC 2020. However, the company’s new flagship phone with 5G connectivity is the latest talk of the town. The new launch is anticipated to be powered by the most recent Snapdragon 865 flagship mobile chipset.

Xiaomi @ MWC 2020:

Due to Xiaomi’s high-spec affordable smartphones, the brand has already captured the European market. For MWC 2020 we have not heard any official announcement from Xiaomi yet but based on their previous trends, the followers are expecting the launch of Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 pro this time.

Nokia @ MWC 2020:

As of now HMD Global or Nokia has not made any big announcement about their showcase at MWC 2020. However, there is a buzz in the market pointing to the launch of quite a few new phones by the brand. Keeping in mind the launch of Nokia 9 PureView at MWC 2019, the followers were expecting Nokia 9.1 to unveil this year.  The Company is expected to skip a generation of this series and launch Nokia 9.2 PureView instead as per Phonearena.com

Oppo @ MWC 2020:

The brand had officially announced their presence at MCW 2020 through a tweet during the last week of January 2020. However, any revelation with regards to the new launches is not in the news yet. A big push is predicted by the company at the event this year because of its growing presence outside China.

LG @ MWC 2020:

This year we might see the launch of LG V60 ThinQ at Mobile World Congress happening in Barcelona, Spain. This new addition to the LG mobile family may be a sequel of LG G8X ThinQ which came last year at MWC 2019. Speculations say that LG V60 ThinQ will come with dual-screen feature and 5G technology. However, to overcome the visible gap between the connected screens of LG G8X ThinQ, the brand might come up with an improved version now.

Huawei @ MWC 2020:

Taking into consideration the blocking of Huawei’s access to Google’s software and app store in 2019, MWC 2020 might surprise us. There are assumptions around that the brand is going to showcase new smartphones like Huawei P40 or P40 Pro. But there are stronger chances that Huawei might be exhibiting its operating system Harmony OS at the event

Google @ MWC 2020:

Google being the occupier of the most expansive outdoor area at MWC each year is not expected to launch anything big this time.  Google I/O developer conference is already been scheduled for May 2020. So, anything big coming up from Google will come in the month of May only. However, at MWC 2020 it will only exhibit its software and alliance with other android phone makers.

Microsoft @ MWC 2020:

Microsoft has already announced its presence at MWC 2020 where the brand is going to hold a press event on Sunday, February 23 at 5 PM. Along with this, it is also expected that for Microsoft the event will be about Mixed Reality, HoloLens 2, and Azure.
