MVISION Cloud, part of McAfee Enterprise’s secure access service edge (SASE) offering – MVISION Unified Cloud Edge (UCE), now provides enhanced security coverage for Microsoft Dynamics 365, a line of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software applications, according to McAfee Enterprise. This solution extends the capabilities of Dynamics 365 by utilising a frictionless API-based cloud-native approach that enables IT teams to enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies and collaboration controls, access control, address threats from insiders and compromised accounts, audit all user activity, and secure corporate data while users collaborate in the cloud.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a collection of intelligent business software that enables businesses to improve operational efficiency and provide more engaging customer experiences. It connects consumers, goods, people, and data to bridge sales and service, supply chains, and storefronts with linked business applications so that more customers may be reached in more places. McAfee is one of the few cloud access security broker (CASB) vendors that offer API-integrated corporate data and threat protection solutions for Dynamics 365, giving users an extra layer of security, visibility, and management.

MVISION Cloud for Dynamics 365 offers a comprehensive collection of security solutions supplied through API, allowing for comprehensive security controls across Dynamics 365. MVISION Cloud for Dynamics is built on the MVISION UCE Platform, which provides a cloud-native solution for protecting data and defending against attacks in the cloud. MVISION Cloud provides the following services:

  • Data Loss Prevention and Response Action: Monitors critical messages and data posted in entities in real-time and on-demand, allowing users to take remedial action and reduce organisational risks. Customers may create content policies that are tailored to their needs and apply them across Dynamics 365 and other cloud applications such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and others.
  • Comprehensive remediation. Allows for the auditing of regulated data uploaded to Dynamics and the remediation of policy infractions through user coaching, administrator notification, and the restoration and deletion of user activities. End users can self-correct their mistakes, which relieves IT security professionals of some of their responsibilities.
  • Access control: Assuring that only permitted devices may connect to Dynamics 365 for both managed and unmanaged devices.
  • Activity Monitoring & Anomaly and Threat Detection: McAfee’s cloud access security broker technology maps to the MITRE ATT&CK® Framework, providing a precise mechanism for administrators to search, identify, and halt assaults on Dynamics 365.

“We are constantly looking for innovative ways to help organizations safely adopt new applications to their cloud portfolio,” said Anand Ramanathan, vice president of products, McAfee Enterprise. “With MVISION Cloud for Dynamics, security operations center teams can take quicker and more informed actions, ultimately resulting in enhanced security and improved business outcomes.”

Russ Connell, Sr. Partner Development Manager, Microsoft said, “We’re pleased to see McAfee’s commitment to supporting and securing this ever-increasing demand. MVISION Cloud integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365’s APIs—ensuring our joint customers can successfully meet key security and compliance requirements.”

Due to its policy flexibility and ease of use, MVISION Cloud for Dynamics 365 is suitable for many industry verticals, including education, banking, logistics, and healthcare, as well as companies of all sizes.
