N.THING will showcase its innovative vertical farming technology at GITEX 2021. The Seoul-based agri-tech firm, which entered the UAE market in 2020 through a partnership with Sarya Holdings to develop vertical farm Smart Acres, has announced its participation in this year’s GITEX Future Stars event. N.THING will give UAE professionals with the opportunity to see firsthand its revolutionary technology in the sector from October 17 to 20 by showcasing its award-winning IoT-based solution for agricultural capabilities.

N.THING will be displaying its IoT technology at this year’s GITEX, sponsored by the Seoul Business Agency of the Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea, with the goal of informing potential buyers and partners in the MENA area about its vertical farm solution. N.THING will demonstrate its ‘CUBE,’ a modularized container vertical farm for hydroponic smart farming that uses IoT technology and a customised OS (“CUBE OS”) to fully regulate the growing environment, growth time, and product quality. These CUBES are not only the newest in innovation because of their agricultural capabilities, but they are also easy to grow and build upon because of their stackability.

After completing its PoC (proof of concept) in Abu Dhabi with Smart Acres, N.THING formally launched operations in the UAE in 2020, with the goal of improving food security in the UAE, developing the country’s farming capabilities, and providing a solution to potential socioeconomic threats such as pandemics and climate limitations that the Middle East currently faces. The firms were able to grow four different veggies together, and through this proof-of-concept procedure, they discovered they could generate up to 12 tonnes of crops every year. Growing produce in the region is a challenge given the local climate and landscape, and N.THING is able to provide businesses such as Smart Acres with technology that defies the law of nature and gives them the opportunity to develop plans for food security in the Middle East.

The CEO of N.THING, Leo Kim, shared, “We are delighted to be able to exhibit N.THING’s technology to like-minded innovation seekers at GITEX 2021. Our company has spent years developing our modular containers, and after a successful year working with Smart Acres following our proof of concept stage, we are happy to share what our company has achieved.”

From October 17 to 20, N.THING will be at GITEX to educate potential buyers and partners in the Middle East and North Africa about its vertical farm solution. Attend this year’s GITEX expo and visit N.THING’s exhibition stand to learn more about the agri-tech company’s IoT solution and technology.
