As part of our pre-GITEX coverage, TECHx secured an exclusive interview with Andreas Simon, Director Sales MEA at Jedox. Take a look at the responses we got.

TECHx: Which products and solutions will you be showcasing at GITEX Technology Week?

Jedox: We’re excited to be showcasing our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution for integrated business planning at GITEX this year. This platform drives efficiencies and productivity by enabling the automation of repetitive business processes. It also strengthens collaboration by unifying planning across the organisation. With Jedox, you can easily move to Extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A) wherein every department can create continuous, company-wide plans that are more comprehensive, more agile, and more accurate hence organisations can finally transform their business with smart insights and intelligent automation.

Being present on the stand of Microsoft is particularly important to our regional strategy of empowering our customers to amplify their Microsoft investments with our solutions that seamlessly integrate with the technology giant’s suite including Excel, Office, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics. These integrations deliver best-of-breed planning capabilities for finance and other business functions, translating to greater productivity and more rapid outcomes.

TECHx: What are your hopes for this year’s event?

Jedox: GITEX presents Jedox with the perfect platform to showcase our solutions to enterprise customers. With the main theme for this edition of the show being “AI everything,” there is perfect synergy between what attendees expect and the offerings that we will highlight at the show. We are thrilled to bring forth Jedox AIssisted™ Planning which lets organisations leverage advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) for continuous forecasting and smart insights. With its out-of-the-box AI solutions, this planning engine augments data preparation, enables predictive forecasting, offers intelligent recommendations, and unlocks smart optimisation.

This year’s GITEX is also particularly significant as it runs in parallel with the premier global event – EXPO 2020. There’s no doubt that the influx of international visitors to Dubai will have a positive impact on GITEX, offering exhibitors a chance to engage with a broader and more diverse audience than in previous editions.

TECHx: Do you have any key messages for prospects, customers and partners attending the show?

Jedox: The soundness of our business model and the value proposition of our solution is proven in the game-changing US$100 million investment that Jedox received in early 2021. As a consequence, this year marks the launch of our vertical-specific solutions, which leverages the vibrant Jedox partner ecosystem and our strategic partnerships to expand our scope beyond the office of the CFO. We continue to assist businesses worldwide through our truly cross-functional Extended Planning and Analytics (xP&A) platform, touching every domain of the enterprise.

At GITEX, we aim to raise awareness of our mission is to optimise value creation through our leading-edge EPM solution, helping organisations outperform their competition, and enabling people to effectively collaborate in an increasingly fast-paced world.

TECHx: Could you tell us about the join value that Jedox and Microsoft deliver?

Jedox: Microsoft Excel remains the tool of choice for all kinds of data collection and planning tasks. Jedox enhances the value of Excel by augmenting its functionality with automated, driver-based predictions which rapidly provide more agile and more accurate insights for planning.

With Microsoft Dynamics becoming one of the most popular ERP systems in the Middle East, and with the company establishing its dedicated Azure cloud data centre in the region, Jedox is delighted to offer Middle East enterprises an Enterprise Performance Management solution which is fully integrated with Microsoft products.

We offer comprehensive integration with Microsoft Excel, a web-based Excel-like report designer, and the Jedox OData Hub which facilitates the seamless interaction between Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Office 365, and Azure.

TECHx: What are some of the top trends in your industry segment?

Jedox: Artificial Intelligence, Extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A), Continuous real-time planning and forecasting, Granular Operational Models & Solutions, Driver-based Simulations, Scenario Planning, Augmented with Predictive Forecasting & Machine Learning are all growing areas of interest for the modern business. With teams spread across the globe, and an unprecedented pace of business, all of these areas are fundamental in supporting value creation.
