Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled a series of exciting software updates that enhance the audio experience for users of Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Samsung Smart TVs. These updates bring LE Audio capabilities to Samsung TVs through the introduction of Auracast broadcast audio technology, enabling the transmission of rich and intricate audio to nearby Bluetooth devices.

LE Audio represents a cutting-edge Bluetooth audio standard that broadens the horizons of audio experiences. It goes beyond simply delivering high-quality music and allows users to share sound in a way that replicates their personal experience. Samsung, renowned for its innovation in technology, has harnessed the power of LE Audio-based features to elevate sound experiences further. This includes features such as 360 Audio Recording, enabling Galaxy smartphone users to record sound in videos exactly as they hear it, eliminating the need for professional equipment. Moreover, select Galaxy Book3 devices now offer a crystal-clear audio experience with reduced latency, perfect for immersive gaming and multimedia consumption.

Now, with the introduction of Auracast broadcast audio technology for Galaxy Buds2 Pro and select Samsung TVs, such as the 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 2023 MICRO LED, Samsung is extending and enhancing connected experiences beyond mobile devices to include home appliances. Auracast enables users to transform their device into a shared radio station that can broadcast to other connected devices. Leveraging the capabilities of LE Audio, it’s now possible to connect multiple pairs of Buds to a TV, a significant improvement from the previous limit of two devices. Auracast opens up a multitude of potential applications, from augmented or assistive listening in venues like theaters or lecture halls for those with hearing impairments, to sharing playlists with friends during a jog, and even facilitating multi-language support without the need for translation devices by transmitting different language interpretations through separate channels.

Junho Park, VP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystem Product Planning Team at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering seamless and extended experiences across their diverse range of electronic devices, from smartphones to wearables, TVs to home appliances. LE Audio is a prime example of how Samsung is bridging the gap between these devices, introducing new capabilities and technologies to unite them all.

The introduction of the Auracast feature is just one of many ways in which Samsung is connecting devices and services, offering unique and innovative experiences to its users.
