‘Spot’ disrupts the food truck industry with new app

Spot, an Abu Dhabi-based F&B operator, has launched a drive-thru application to revolutionize on-the-go dining. Customers and food truck operators at Spot food truck parks can take advantage of the convenient, low-cost app. Customers can use an in-app map service to find nearby food trucks, pre-order meals, and have them delivered to their cars, providing an efficient alternative to long lines and waiting times.

Users of the ‘Spot- Drive Thu Pickup’ app can browse options, offers, and order from multiple chains at the same time, with rewards of up to 20% off at several of the food trucks. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

Meanwhile, food truck operators can gain access to the free digital platform by entering a 0% commission rate into the app – an industry first that will relieve pressure on operators in a highly competitive industry.

Spot, founded by Emirati entrepreneur Ahmed Al Fahim, provides popular local F&B brands with spaces or’spots’ to nurture their business growth. The Spot food truck parks, which are located throughout Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, are the go-to destinations for food truck patrons who want to quickly and conveniently get their orders from the comfort of their cars.
