Cisco AppDynamics, a provider of Observability and Application Performance Monitoring technology, has released findings from its fourth annual report, Agents of Transformation 2022, which examines the skills and attributes of elite global technologists.
Wearables are becoming increasingly popular: 38% of people currently use at least one wearable technology device, and 71% intend to increase their use of such products and related applications in the next year.
According to the study’s findings, consumers will use 25 different digital services and applications to help them plan, book, and travel for their next vacation.
While many organizations continue to use traditional applications to run mission-critical and revenue-generating systems, modern business apps are increasingly being built using DevOps initiatives and must support distributed architectures and services.
With people now so reliant on digital services to go about their everyday lives, consumers have become completely unforgiving when they encounter a digital service that doesn’t meet their expectations. In the same consumer study, 73% of people in the stated that brands have only one shot to impress them and that if their digital service doesn’t perform, they won’t use them again.
