It is reported that social media giant Facebook is planning a rebranding with a new name, reported The Verge. It is learned that Mark Zuckerberg would be making the announcement at the company’s Connect conference.

This recent drop occurred after a whistle-blower came forward and outages knocked Facebook’s essential products offline for more than 6 hours on Monday.

For nearly six hours, nearly 3.5 billion Facebook users have been unable to access the company’s apps and services, including Whatsapp and Instagram, because of a “faulty configuration change” announced by the company.

Facebook has rolled out the third edition of its portal video-calling devices called Portal Go, as well as a new service that allows companies to deploy fleets of the gadgets to their staff.
