The event has drawn innovators from all over the world, with 147 alumni from 18 Arab nations. Many have developed innovative products and established successful businesses throughout the MENA, Europe, the Americas, and Eastern Asia.

Qatar Foundation’s Stars of Science has undertaken several measures to continue filming Season 12, overcoming the difficulties presented by COVID-19 while ensuring the safety of contestants, jury members, experts, and filming crew.

Inventions focusing on using modern technological methods to solve contemporary issues also featured prominently. These included an algorithm-based application to detect and warn the user from fake news or misinformation on social media platforms, and smart glasses equipped with cameras to better the life of the visually impaired by transforming images into verbal directions.
