Gaming industry has been on a roll since 2020 with no intentions of slowing down and as per research, the global gaming industry is expected to reach a value of USD 295.63 billion by 2026. Gaming monitors saw a surge in shipments throughout 2020 with most of the global population working remotely and indoors. Monitor brands have naturally been busy innovating and designing new variants in the gaming monitor segment.

We came across the BenQ EX2710 gaming monitor launched towards the end of last year (2020). The Mobiuz promises some good features on the pack, will it fit the bill of a superior gaming monitor? Let’s find out.

MOBIUZ EX2710 - techxmedia

MOBIUZ EX2710 is BenQ’s latest gaming monitor with 1 ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time), more commonly used today by display manufacturers and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. Anything about 60 Hz to 75Hz is still available in the market and gamers still use it but 144Hz refresh rate is solely to enhance performance and give you a smoother experience and it does well in the department.

Mobiuz also features the AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce blurs and artifacts. Built-in BenQ HDRi technology promises an improved contrast, detail, and refined colors compared to standard HDR ensuring a better gaming experience. The sound experience is also enhanced here with treVolo built-in speakers.

Some quick highs –

Light Tuner

The Light Tuner enables 20 different color settings you can choose from. Whether you play FPS or RPG, you decide how your game looks for your best experience.

Color Vibrance

You can choose the color vibrance settings to suit your viewing requirements, comes in handy during games where you need to spot enemies in camouflage or backgrounds where it’s difficult to spot them. This is an in-game adjustment feature. Make sure to use it. There is a vast difference while using this feature and I’m sure gamers are gonna love it.

Black eQualizer

Black eQualizer is a feature that enables you to see clearly in dark environments or backgrounds, scenes, night scenes especially. Makes it easier to spot enemies in the dark.

Quick OSD & Scenario Mapping –

Scenario Mapping will help you save presets with the inputs you choose, desktop or console, and the next time you plug in the settings automatically change as per the input.

Quick OSD will allow you to switch to your frequently used settings quickly. You can preset Black Equalizer, volume, and brightness for different scenarios, select your OSD settings with ease and you are good to go.

The 5-way navigator at the back of the monitor lets you choose any of the 5 preset settings based on your requirement (needs to be selected manually)

BenQ HDRi –

BenQ has developed its own proprietary technology, ‘HDRi’ for a more immersive visual experience with custom color performance, detail contrast and image clarity and intelligent on-screen adjustments too. So, the dark scenes can become much clearer and brighter so you can see clearly what’s going on there. Similarly, the brighter scenes will be adjusted so that they are not overexposed. The visual performance is a delight to watch, specially the dark scenes.

Built-in Speakers by treVolo enhance the experience –

EX2710 is equipped with 2.5 W speakers, designed and well calibrated by treVolo. It comes with 3 preset sound settings that enable precise treble, rich mid-range, and resounding bass and these are all in-built speakers we are talking about. So, you may do away with those external speakers in case you are looking for decent sound to go with the game. But this stands different for different gamers and customization is the key for most.
