BOKDOC, the Middle East surgical procedures platform, announced that it has won the World Summit Award, extending Egypt‘s leadership in various international forums.

As per the announcement, the award is presented to the best project that contributes to developing and growing societal capacity to accomplish sustainable development goals. It will be recognised at the WSA Global Congress, which will be held in Vienna in March of next year.

An international jury of experts from 23 different countries selected the Egyptian platform for finals after it competed with more than 182 countries worldwide.

Commenting on this statement, Dr. Ahmed El-Awady, co-founder and CEO of  BOKDOC platform, said: “We are proud of this award, which we consider an important step towards health care development that we believe in our constructive role in achieving. He noted that the award contributes to advancing the platform’s future visions towards securing a specialized and integrated medical system in the  surgical procedures field, and offering an innovative tool that provides added value to patients around the world, starting with medical examinations and the services of the Patient Care Department, which includes a selection of doctors, through connecting the patient to the best surgeon in proportion to their medical condition, noting that the platform is based on the principle of transparency as the surgeon is chosen based on the reviews of former patients who underwent this operation with the same surgeon, which results in a higher safety rate, and that was the main reason for winning the award.”

He added: “Our future vision of expansion is based on providing integrated health services in surgical operations to various countries. As a leading company in the field of entrepreneurship, Saudi Arabia will be our next destination, while we plan to expand in the United Arab Emirates by the end of this year 2022.”

BOKDOC, which was founded at the end of 2018, is widely regarded as the first Arab platform to provide an integrated system for the concept of health care in the surgical procedures field, based on innovative digital solutions that give patients from various countries access to a range of competitive services such as doctor and hospital selection and comparison, as well as free consultations and electronic financial systems of payment in installments and cash. The platform’s monthly business volume growth rate reaches 22%.

It’s worth noting that the BOKDOC platform contains over 1,500 doctors, 70 hospitals, and centres in over 30 different medical specialisations that have done over 3,000 procedures ranging from small dental surgery to open-heart surgeries. The portal now offers its services in over 9 countries and has over 230 thousand people seeking various treatments each month.
