Trend Micro Incorporated recognized Al Ghurair for its innovative approach to adopting cyber security as a critical component of protecting its digital environment.

Trend Micro emphasized its decade-long cooperation with Al Ghurair and its vital contribution to the UAE at GITEX 2021 Technology Week, the region’s largest tech event. Majd Sinan, Country Manager, Trend Micro UAE, gave an award from Al Ghurair to Marinda Sheahan, Group Vice President IT, for the company’s continuous cybersecurity resilience.

“These past few years, we have made significant strides in securing our IT infrastructure, especially during the most crucial phases of our digital transformation journey,” said Sheahan, Al Ghurair.

He added, “To safeguard our growth and operations, we needed a security vendor that provides our security teams with appropriate guidance and cutting-edge solutions to negate any vulnerabilities that exist within our organization; and Trend Micro stood its ground throughout this time. We are excited about our journey ahead and will continue to fortify our security posture with the benefits of robust multi-layered protection such as Trend Micro Vision One with Managed XDR and extended threat intelligence.”

“For an organization to have such a significant impact in the development of a country, it needs to be two steps ahead of the curve with the right backing of innovation and advanced protection – and this award is evidence of that, said Majd Sinan, Country Manager, UAE for Trend Micro.

He added, “Our collaboration with Al Ghurair has been phenomenal and an honor for us to play a role in securing its digital estate across the cloud, networks, devices, and endpoints. We look forward to further strengthening our relationship on this milestone for years to come and beyond.”

Al Ghurair has enriched its operations by providing its digital framework with modern security solutions, covering more than 4000 endpoints, servers, and numerous networks, thanks to a good relationship with Trend Micro, according to Kamran Manzoor, Al Ghurair Information Security Architect. The company’s move to the cloud drove it to choose Trend Micro Apex One, an automated, smart, all-in-one cybersecurity solution that protects against the ever-changing threat landscape.
